A few years ago I had those exact symptoms, turned out to be gas...
funny u say that .when I was recovering from gallbladder remova l I got tha t pain and drs said I need to fart... gas from the surgery

So glad to see this, had the exact same pain about a week ago and was debating over going to the ER. It did go away.

OMG that pain was the worst part of my gallbladder surgery recovery! I was taking my pain meds more for that than for the incision pain- the incision was nothing compared to that!
I felt like someone had karate chopped my shoulders for a week! It was awful.
Apparently they blow your abodmen up with gas whiel doing the surgery and it builds up near your shoulders. Awful!
