Swing to crib transition
DS does most of his sleeping in his swing at night. DH wants us to try and transition him to his crib this week. Anyone else's DC sleep in the swing in the beginning? How did the transition go? DS is almost 11wks.
Thanks!

Re: Swing to crib transition
I've been trying to transition DC's naps from the swing to the crib. So far, it's going ok. This weekend we got her to take a 45 minute nap in her crib - this was a big deal!
We've been trying to do 1 nap in the swing, 2 naps in the crib. I think it's best to start off the change slowly. Maybe increase the time in the crib week by week, or something?
Good luck!

Re: Swing to crib transition
Good luck. My son was 6 and 1/2 months old before we got him to switch. He hated the crib, and still does at a yr old. It was hard.
especially b/c in the swing he slept 12 hours at night ,e very night , no issues.
Now he wont sleep more then a 6-7 hr stretch.
It was easier then I thought, but harder to get him to stay asleep.

Re: Swing to crib transition
Honestly, I would make the transition sooner rather than later.
You may have a rough couple of nights but in the end you will be much better off - and so will your DC.

Re: Swing to crib transition
DS slept in the swing. First we stopped it from moving at night so he was sleeping in it motionless, then I had him play in the crib a few times so he was used to it, and then I transitioned him. GOOD LUCK!

ITA!! Do it now, it'll just get harder if you wait. DD slept in the bouncy then the car seat and we finally got her in the crib at 4 months. It took her a few weeks to stop waking every few hours. Now she sleeps at least 8-3/4

Since he's too young to CIO (and I don't know how I feel about this) what can I do? I just put him in continously if he cries?
