Re: Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction
I did. it was awful. from around week 24 all the way to 41.
getting out of bed or standing up after sitting was murderous. walking was so painful.
it went away the day after my daughter was born.

Re: Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction
I have this - just found out about it last week after I had a lot of pain and went in to see my doctor last minute (I'm 24 weeks). There's not much that can be done - but I have found a few minor reliefs, and some days it's better than others, so I think it really depends on level of activity...
- When getting up after laying down or sitting for some time, I do it really slowly. If I try to make it abrupt it makes it worst - Wearing a belly support belt - I got a very basic one on Amazon and it definately helps if I'm moving around a lot - In general, try and take it easy (although relaxing can make the bones too relaxed which causes pain too), but I did lay down a bunch the other day when the pain was really bad and it helped alleviate it - When you need to pee, pee right away - holding it in for even 30 seconds makes the pain worst
Hope you feel better!

I had this, from very early on in the 2nd tri. But, every time I mentioned it at my doc's office, they would tell me its normal...I was in so much pain. And there was nothing that I could do to alleviate it. It went away about a week after DD was born. Not fun...Sorry you're going through this, and I literally feel your pain.

Re: Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction
I had this & saw a chiropractor! It literally saved me. I went from 20 weeks til I had the baby 1-2 times a week and it helped so much. I still see her now if I have back pain or headaches. Some chiropractors don't see pregnant women so I was recommended to a great chiropractor in Bellmore. Fm me if you want her info.
