I have a Garmin nuvi. I think it's the 265wt. I've had several Garmins over the years, and bought them for other people. I really like them. I had a TomTom, but returned it because I didn't like it as much as the Garmin.

The features I looked for were saying the street names, not just "turn right in 500 feet", but "turn right on Main Street in 500 ft). Bluetooth, so my cell can connect to it and I have a hands-free device in the car. Lifetime traffic updates. While not always accurate, it tells you where traffic is on your route, and gives you the option to avoid it if possible. Gives different options on how to route. (Fastest time, shortest distance, most fuel efficient, avoid tolls, etc).
