taking a month off
well that b*tch af came yesterday. it has already been 6 months and still no bfp. i'm 27 so i guess i am still in the 'normal' timeframe they say it takes to get pregnant... you just never think it will take this long to get pg. when you make that decision that you are ready, you feel like it will happen quickly. and for a lot of people it doesn't, and it is torture!!! i know that there are many ladies that have been trying for a lot longer than me and i shouldn't really complain, but it's still hard when month after month it just doesn't happen.
i feel like all the ttc stuff is stressing me out to the max... i told dh i want to take a break, just for one cycle; he was a little irritated i guess... but i think he is pretty much ok with it. so we won't be ttc for the month of september... but back on for october (well, end of sept. really) which will be our 7th or 8th cycle ttc - well i guess 7th if you don't count this new cycle that we are skipping.
i also have to admit.... that i would be THRILLED to get a bfp in october bc i would love to have a july baby (dh's bday is in july). hopefully that will be our month..
thanks for reading ladies

Re: taking a month off
I know how you feel. This month now is only my 5th month trying and I feel your fustration. Last cycle (#4) really hit me hard when AF showed and to make it worse the same day I found out one my friends was pregnant. TTC can really be a emotional rollercoaster. I really didn't realize how long it can actually take either. It may be a good idea to take the month off and not stress it. Just BD for fun and see what happens. It will happen when the time is right.

Re: taking a month off
It really is hard to keep getting those BFN, but it will all be worth it when we all get our BFPs!!
Sometimes we just need a little break, and thats ok. For your next cycle that your are TTC!

Re: taking a month off
I forget who's DH says this to her on here, "But Your Time Will Come". She told us this yesterday, and it seems to be helping me get through. Thanks again!! I think it is good to take a break, especially if your feeling so stressed. It will give your body a chance to relax also. Don't think you shouldn't complain b/c other ppl have been trying longer. I think no matter how long someone is trying it is always sad when it doesn't happen right away. Even if it was your first month it is really tough when it doesn't happen. We are all in this together, and we are here for you to complain to b/c other ppl just don't get it like we all do.

I'm sorry I hope your time comes soon!
If you don't mind me asking, have you been charting??
This month off will probably be good for you- and hey, it may happen on its own.

i'm sorry you are stronger than I am! After two months of trying I took two months off b/c of the stress and we recently started again. The mental aspect of TTC is DRAINING! Good luck for next time! btw taking some time off is awesome! it's great not to stress for a little!

Re: taking a month off
Take the time if it is becoming too stressful Who knows, the "no pressure" might just make it work

Re: taking a month off
you girls are so great it's true that you girls are the only ones around for me that really understands all the stress of ttc... one of my closest friends knows we are ttc... every couple weeks she likes to checkup on the situation and say "still??!! not yet??!! i cant believe its taking so long!" she doesn't realize that her comments don't help.. she just doesn't get the whole thing. but honestly, if you aren't in the same situation yourself, you really don't get it..
oh, and yes babysmomma29, i have been charting. and using opks. and preseed. and checking cm. and laying with my legs up in the air after bding. if you guys have any other tips or techniques that you think work just fill me in!!
thanks for being here ladies... and lots of to you all!!!

Re: taking a month off
I know how you feel. I am contemplating calling it quits all together. We have been trying for 4 -5 months and I don't know if I want it anymore. Maybe its all the BFN or coming to terms with the fact that it might not be in our cards. I contemplated an RE but the more I thought about it the more I know its not for me.
Hopefully your time will come soon.

don't quit!! well, it is one thing if you decide you want to stop trying for other reasons, but don't quit just because it is taking longer than you expected... maybe you just need a break like me?? it WILL happen for you (and for me too) we just don't know exactly when... we are all in it together
