I'm not convinced he is innocent. 
Not sure in 1988 I was only 8 years old. They have said that he was 17 years old and he was talked in to confessing and right away he back tracked and refused to sign the confession.

he confessed after hours & hours of interogation & tricks & lies by sneaky cops WITHOUT an attorney. He immediatly recanted & never signed the confession.
If you found your parents dead & you were seventeen do you think worrying about getting their blood on you would cross your mind?
Maybe not getting blood on me but I would not confess to killing my parents if I did.
the crooked cop lied to him faked & a phone call & told Marty his father woke up from the coma & said Marty did it. They told him if he confessed they let him go to the hospital to see his dad.

Also, when they faked this phone call to his father, his reaction was wondering if he blacked out and did this. They suggested to him that maybe he did. There have been many cases now of people that have confessed and were found to be innocent.

Thats right he siad something along the lines of gee I wonder if Blacked out and did this.
Even his mothers sister said there is no way Marty did this and has stood by his side along with all of his family this entire time.

Court of Appeals has ruled that that is a legal way of getting a confession. As far as the cops being crooked, what motive would they have to convict a 17 year old with no prior record?
The detective knew the bagel guy that Marty was saying from the first day did it.

he was the intended fall guy. Marty's half sister inherited the majority of the tankleff estate & coincidentally went on to partner with the crooked cop in two businesses. The bagel guy that owed martys dad 1/2 million dollars faked his own death & ran to California for several weeks after the killings, but for some reason the SCPD never pursued that as suspicious behavior.
It goes on & on.

Totally agree! His aunt was in tears of joy when he was released

This entire case was a tragedy from the parents murders, right on down to Marty's conviction. He was the intended fall guy and he has lost 17 yrs of his life and his parents. Yes he is innocent and the judicial system finally did the right thing after years of doing the unspeakable for so long. I hope Marty sues whomever he can and is able to lead a long happy, and healthy life.

I agree...very well said. I also hope he sues whomever he can. This whole thing is terrible.

he was ranting & talking in incomplete sentences about the law being different today than it was in 1990, its bullcrap. they know he's innocent & they are trying to make nice so he won't sue their ballz off.
I think the crooked cop should have to give the county back every cent he earned including his pention money because he's a LIAR & he STOLE marty's life.
I hope everyone that KNEW he was innocent goes straight to hell to smoke a terd with the devil!

Most people are appalled by this. I think when talking tax dollars, to think that this man was convicted on our money from a place we live is an outrage!

If I think he is innocent that that is awful but I really don't think he is.
Tom Spota cannot pursue the indictment because the evidence that was available is no longer available today. That was 17 years ago.
Tankleff testified and could not convince a jury he was innocent.
And by the way- the evil prosecutor on this case has been your bureau chief of homicide for 20 years. Prosecutors don't have motives to put innocent people in jail. Don't forget proof beyond reasonable doubt is a high burden not taken lightly by jurors.
Don't believe all the media hype.
