Re: Target Missoni line

I finally got onto the website to look and I'm confused. Does their high-end stuff have the same awful prints, or did they do that especially for Target?
Pretty sure that's a signature Missoni look.

Re: Target Missoni line
So I finally tried the skirt on DD. It is an XS. She is 2 and wears 24 months/2T. It is just below the knee and fits her now. She is about the 50% for weight and 75% for height. These pieces run small.

Missoni high end is finer yet heavier if that makes sense, more silk in some
Yes, it does. I am sure the high end Missoni has a higher gauge (which would make the fabric feel finer and heavier) and it is made out of better material. Basically the number of needle/thread loops per square inch is higher. I am sure in the high end stuff they are using longer cotton fibers (pima, egyptian) and throw in some silk fibers for good measure.

Re: Target Missoni line
I got a ton of stuff for my girls...I own some real missoni and the quality is obviously soooo different, you can see it a mile away...they use a very different material for their actual line..Also, I think don't know what these ppl on ebay are thinking paying such a premium on it!?!?!

Re: Target Missoni line
It's like comparing apples and oranges. Every time a chain does a designer line, people go nuts! Same thing happens when H&M does it as well. It's crazy that in this economy people would be willing to pay the mark up on this stuff when they know what it was retailing for.
Even the Linea Pelle bags at Target look like plastic.

Nope, you're not alone...and it does nothing for me! I mean, a couple of pieces might be cute, but I'm not fighting crowds for it.

Re: Target Missoni line
Target has done this tons of time with designers that just weren't as famous as Missoni.
And H&M did it with Roberto Cavalli and Jimmy Choo, both sold out within hours.
The point is they are limited edition items for CHEAP! Yes regular Missoni is very expensive, but it is available IF you can or want to shell out the money.
Missoni for Target is a one time thing, so even if you have money and want it it doesn't mean you can get it. That alone is what is making it so desirable on eBay.
It's like any designer, some people love it and some hate it. I personally love Missoni so I was super excited for this. Crazy zig zag prints are their signature.
