Teacher's Aide or Assistant what's the difference?
Hello! Just curious if anyone knows how to get into this field. I have about 60 liberal art credits and was wondering what other degrees or certifications would be needed. If anyone knows where I could find such info I would appreciate it. I currently reside in Queens but will be moving to the island. Thanks again

I think a Teacher's Aide is NOT certified, while a Teacher's Assistant DOES have certification. I'm not sure what you need to be certified, but I would check TEACH on the highered website. It will tell you exactly what you need. I'm almost postive you need to take a Specialty Test too.

Something to keep in mind:
You can get teacher assistant certification. However, some districts only hire certified teachers for their teacher assistant positions.
