Re: Teeth clenching at night
I clench too and my dentist made me a guard after I knocked one of my veneers off in the middle of the night!
I find my jaw locks a lot and the left side cracks every time I open my mouth. Sometimes I can't even open my mouth at all.
I may have to speak to my dentist about it but I am afraid I will need surgery to correct it....

I'm sure everyone's different. I have a hereditary condition with my jaw. I have it, my sister has it, my father's side has it...basically the bones don't fully line up so they "snap" together & it hurts(sometimes when I yawn my mouth stays open...fun! )...I'm sure this is an extreme case.

Re: Teeth clenching at night
I don't hear myself grind my teeth at night, and DH doen't mention it, but I wake up with horrible pain in my jaw. This happened about 1 yr. ago, then stopped. Now it's back. Did someone here say it's stress related??

Re: Teeth clenching at night
I clench my teeth at night....I sleep with a guard but i do still clench....there are still some mornings I wake up and my TMJ is killing me...and that is usually when I had a bad day prior. Its def stress related.
