We all know how much I despise sappy huggy lovey dovey people who bring nothing to the table other than a hug and a prayer and tell you "everything is going to be all right"
I want honesty
I want controversy
I want people who when someone asks for opinions, gives them that opinion, good or bad, popular or not.
I will select a person based on the above criteria and award them with thumbs up from me and my unwavering respect.
I find your post a little hypocritical. You said you despise lovey dopey people who are only offering a hug and a heartfelt prayer but at least they are offering something that may not mean a lot to you but it may to the person that this is intended for. Giving is always wonderful no matter what it may be but that’s my personal view and I guess that's your opinon as well. When people said that things are going to be all right for the most part they turned to be not as bad as the person facing the situation think it would be so at times it’s good to be reminded of this.
I find for the most part that a lot of people on this site are genuine, caring and honest people except for a few with the gang-up mentality.
This website brings so many people together that is most likely that everyone would not agree on every subject/issue posted. Honesty and Controversy are always good as long as they are done in a diplomatic, respectable, and constructive way without being rude and without hurting people’s feelings. I think it’s pretty funny you are posting about this when sometimes you don’t necessarily follow it but that’s just my personal opinion.
I neither want to be considered, or nominated but I thought I’d give my two cents on this probably because when I post I try to keep those things you posted about in mind even though I may have been flamed for it in the past. But I always take into account who’s saying what before I even give it any consideration. I always find that makes a lot of difference.
Now time to go and get breakfast.....

What do you mean by hypocritical? In using that phrase you must mean you think the Captain is lovey dopey but the rest of your post does not support this theory...bad opening line
