The Ferber Method ? Do you think its to late and any advice .
My DD is 17 months old, I have to tell you its been a rough 17 months for my Dh and myself.
I basically have the same sleep time schedule everynight. But whatever I do my DD is still waking up wanting to be rocked to sleep and this can take up to 2 to 4 hrs.
I have been on parenting sites to see my options.
Has anyone been successful with the Ferber Method ?
At what age did you decide to try this method ?
Any advice on starting this method, I am really at my breaking point that I am looking for all advice and options and this point..
I love my little girl but she has to sleep ...

The only thing I can tell you is my ped said letting them cry does not work after 18 months.
Sorry I can't help, the sleep situation here has never been good!

I don't think its too late for the Ferber method.
I followed the Weissbluth book "extinction" method - the visits in Ferber just made my daughter angrier - she was younger though.
Just make sure you are 100% ready before you start, it can be tough in the beginning!

I wish I had answers, but at 17 months DS hardly ever sleeps in his crib. I have to lay down with him to get him to go to sleep and he never goes before 9:30.
