hmm.. interesting theories all the way around.. not sure I know what to think right now, but I think the stage is being set for something really interesting in the coming weeks
Last night's epi was OK. Not one of the best, but as I said it was really to mostly show how the tailenders were affected by THE OTHERS and perhaps give you a little insight into Ekho and AL. But mostly it set things up for some juicyepisodes coming, where the all the passnengers will 'merge" and new relationships/backstories will start to play out
I really REALLY am beginning to miss our original group of passsengers.. I want more of them now, enough AnaLucia et al!!
I think for once I am just going to sit back and ENJOY the show and stop trying to figure things out. Even the creators/writers have said ON RECORD "viewers overanalyze the shows WAY too much .. not everything means something significant"
 its so hard NOT to analyze though

Take a break from the hatch and the others and get back to the relationships
I will cry my eyes out when Rose and Bernard are reunited 
Jin and Sun too!!
And yeah lets not even talk about Kate droolin' all over my Man 
(though I did notice on the previews that when someone says "Ana Lucia".. Jack says "AnaLucia" and totally perks up )

The last few weeks have been not as good as the beginning- now we know the background- I want to move forward. Lets go back to solving all the mysteries on the island. I have a feeling Locke and Ecko maybe be able to solve some!!
Next week we'll get some of AL's back story. I am curious to see how all this will play out. In an interview with one of the producers/writers/directors they comment how in the beginning of the show everyone hated Sawyer, and now we all love him. Could it be that one day we will like AL? I don't see that happening, but with these writers- you never know...!!!!!

I read the same thing, that once you see AnaLucia's backstory, you will start feeling entirely different about her
Hmmmm well I dunno about THAT I think my biggest problem with that character is the actress that portrays her, I honestly think she is terrible .. but she has time to redeem herself I suppose I am more curious to see what AL's profession was .. and maybe some reference to the children thing (I too noticed her big pause/hesitation when asked about her having children)
THEN the episode following next week is back to Kate's backstory .. from what i read we will finally find out what the REAL reason was for her being on the run was about (i.e., what the the crime was that she committed)

I think there has to be more to the reason why she and her Mom were estranged and the fact her Mom freaked out when she saw her in the hospital... so maybe so

I'm still going with my Libby is evil theory. There's just something about her that makes me wonder.
And I'm still thinking this whole thing is going to come down good versus evil.
Maybe the people they took were all considered "pure" meaning they hadn't had sex out of wedlock, committed a crime, or sinned at all.
And they are looking to keep the "pure" ones and kill the "bad" ones.
And the Others did kill a couple people - the dude in the jail last night, Scott/Steve from the beach and I think one of the women, right?

I agree with both of these. I remembered this morning that Libby was the one that went to Ana about how "creepy" Nathan was and how "uncomfortable" he made her feel. Ana was already digging the hole but Libby pushed it big time. Then, during the "we should let him out Ana" thing, she stood back and didn't say a word. That, in addition to the bazillion other reasons I've listed over the weeks, all add up to her as an Other.
And the Others did kill a couple people - the dude in the jail last night, Scott/Steve from the beach and I think one of the women, right?
I don't think the Others killed Scott/Steve - I think that Ethan's crew did that. I'm not sure which woman you're talking about. And Nathan - Goodwin explained why he did it - he was afraid Nathan would blow his (and I suspect Libby's) cover.

My thought is that the other flight attendant who disappeared last episode is an "other" because in this weeks episode she said something to Ana Lucia that she did not remember Nathan on the plan and she is good with faces. Seems like she was deverting any attention to Goodwin and the fact she disappeared with not even a scream makes no sense either.
Remember even though she was seen on the plan there is much evidence that this plane crashed on teh island with these people on purpose, she could of had a hand in it.
Don't forget she disappeared after Goodwin was killed and the tailenders were coming to the front passengers. Seems like as an other she could be trying to get those two groups together for an 'experiement' for the Dharma initiative!

I don't think I saw that before either.
I used to think Echo was not from the plane, but after yesterday, I think he was. I do think he may be a preist though.
What do you think Ana Lucia was before? Soldier? Police oficer? I think maybe something along those lines.
