I was in Walmart - a woman told me she went to 4 stores already - plus walmart.
Maybe try the dollar stores?

No batteries in Waldbaums either (well, just AA and AAA) but happy to say plenty of milk, bread and water!

Re: The Stores.....Hurricane related
It's INSANE at the stores. I was at Target earlier (not for hurricane stuff even) and it was a madhouse. NO batteries. Food flying off the shelves. Craziness.

Re: The Stores.....Hurricane related
Just got some at Office Max.....
You kind of have to go the the "think out of the box' type stores I think....
Maybe Babies R Us ? Lord knows they always are the first to push batteries with every purchase

Re: The Stores.....Hurricane related
Babies R Us and Toys R Us are good for batteries! I just happened to stock up not because of the hurricane, but because CVS was having a BOGO on their batteries. Try there!

Re: The Stores.....Hurricane related
I was at the Target in bayshore this morning when they opened...it was already crazy. They did have plenty of AAA and AA batteries. I got the last 2 "cheap" flashlights (costing under $30)

Was going to say this.
Try places you never think of. Baby's R Us, Best Buy, Gas stations, even Hotels sometimes carry batteries to sell.

Costco had a lot on Tuesday - no telling what they have left today though, but they do buy in large pallet quantities.
