Amazon,,.....if you are prome you can upgrade to 1 day shipping for 4 bucks.

I got ton s of D and Cs today

I tried to buy D batteries from amazon a couple of hours ago and even with prime 1-day shipping it was giving me a delivery date of 8/29Chat Icon

I did buy AA and AAA yesterday and a radio today from there. The D batteries are for DD's swing, I need them today, it is dying!!

Michaels (up near the cashier) has a small stash of batteries....and if you have their coupon they should be 40% off!

Target in Medford had plenty of AA and AAA batteries (down the aisle and on the back endcap).

No flashlights or water.

No C or D batteries at most places. Target, Staples, Modells, CVS, or PC Richards in Bay Shore.
We have batteries for our flash lights, just figured would be good to have a back up set. Oh well, candle light it will be if need be.

Try stores that people might not think to go to:
Staples
Office Max/Depot
Radio Shack
Hardware stores ?
Supermarkets/Drug stores

FYI: Target in Westbury had a ton of batteries yesterday afternoon

Radio Shack sold out. Funny thing - I called a friend who is manager - asked if he had batteries. He said yes, I told him exactly when I would be there - I got there, and he had completely forgotten and they were sold out.

What I want to know is- is this the first time ANYONE has had a need for a flashlight?
I can see needing fresh batteries but what is going on that people are buying up all these flashlights?

I mean, I always have flashlights in the house- for random power outages, checking out dark spaces, etc etc.

There have been storms and black outs before- what happened to all the flashlights bought for those times?

Are they lost? Stolen?

We went to Target, Radio Shack, The Dollar Store, and S&S in Levittown today and not one "D" battery to be found. We got the last 3 packages in KK... I tried BRU in Westbury tonight and they were out. People there said the Walmart, Target, and Home Depot were out too..

I only had 2 in the house and when I attempted to check their batteries on Tuesday, I found battery acid all over the larger of the 2. I got a 4pk with batteries for $10 at bjs islandia on Wednesday morning. they still had plenty @ that point!
