Im surprised so many people found last nights episode boring! I thought it was really good.. so much happened and we found out the backstory on Abraham and Eugene and Rosita finally instead of them just being extra people hanging around.
I really like how they're parallel path-ing the storylines so we saw Daryl come back, but obviously whatever happened with Carol and he has already happened and we just haven't seen it yet (which will be next week). I think all the storylines will catch up to each other and the group will all meet up again.
Eugene isn't dead, i'm pretty sure they slipped on Talking Dead and implied we would see more of him

This! I was totally not excited about this episode (before seeing it) because I really could not care less about Abraham, Rosita, Eugene, but it was nice to get a little backstory. I feel a little more invested in the characters now, especially Abraham.
On a side note, if I was with my kids and was raped, and my husband came and saved me, I am pretty sure I would not run away with my defenseless, small kids into a world infested with Walkers. Even if hubby was very violent about it. So that seemed weird to me.

Wow, great flashbacks to when carol was on her own. I still don't know why she wanted to leave the church/ group. I guess she's all effed up in the head from everything that happened. I was really hoping things would get romantic with Daryl and carol but it's turning out to be more like a sibling/BFF relationship I think.
I can't believe she got hit by the car! That was shocking! I thought she planted herself in the hospital! I'm pissed that we didn't see more of what happens at the hospital. I guess we can be sure now that Noah is in the woods with Daryl.
I think the mid season break will happen before the hosiptal situation resolves. Glenn and Maggie still have to get back to the church before they leave!
The comedian on talking dead with her notes was so funny. Interesting point she made about the fire.

I loved last night's episode...except for the fact that there was no suspense because we already knew where Daryl & Carol were from previous episodes. We knew Carol was ending up in the hospital & that Daryl was making it back with someone, and knew that Beth was alive. Loved how Daryl & Carol can communicate without even speaking. And I love the flashbacks... fills in a lot of blanks. :)

The walking dead season premier! Week 6 updates on page 5 Daryl and Carol
She said she wanted to leave the group half because she didn't want to watch anyone else die and half because 'she didn't know' (I'm paraphrasing, lol). And at this point of the series, I think Daryl and Carol work better as a BFF duo than a romantic couple. They are my two favorite characters and last nights episode was probably one of my favorites from this season thus far.
When Noah stole their weapons you had to hear me yelling "This is why everyone hates you, Chris!"
Carol is so amazing though, she's such a great character. She has a backstory, strengths, weaknesses, and has grown so much since season one. It's nice to see a well developed, "older" woman on tv getting to play a person, not just be a "mommy figure".
I didn't see the talking dead, but what did Yvette Brown say about the fire?

I really liked last night's episode. I was so excited when I saw it start out with a flashback for Carol. I didn't think we'd see any of that. So, now we know she went back to the jail the next day, but it was too late- jail was destroyed. I am really loving this seasons story lines. Love Carol & Darryl!

Chris Hardwick: “Yvette, this was… I am sure somewhere in your notes there’s probably, like nine paragraphs on the flashbacks..
Yvette Nicole Brown: “Yes, I had a lot of thoughts about the fire, I did. I had a lot of thoughts about the fire. I thought the symbolism of it was really great, like it started with just the candle that she lit when she left.
There were 10 instances of fire…and and Carol saw or set fires in all the flashbacks and Daryl started all the fires in the current times…and he’s talking about consuming and we are not ashes and all that, and I feel like, I was thinking is the fire burning his stuff away, because when she lists all the things that have happened, she thinking like when Ed was beating me and then when I went to the prison I became someone else…
And then she’s like I had to die, right? So the fire is all these bits of her dying and being burned away and in the current state Daryl is burning away stuff and I was like ‘is that his stuff or is that her stuff?’
Because I want to say something about, in the shelter, that book that he found about surviving childhood abuse, I think that’s his stuff with Merle and their dad so he is a survivor in the same way she’s a survivor from her domestic abuse and he is trying to find his way through it the same way she is…
So this fire is burning away his mess too so when she says…he says ‘how do you think I changed?’ because he cares what she thinks about him and she says you were a boy and now you are man to all of the stuff that he is doing, growing separate from her is growing him up and all of his stuff is burning away to and he’s becoming who he should be…”

I have to say I was a little disappointed.
I can't believe that creepy priest snuck out of the church. WTF is up with him?
I feel like the group looks too weak and unorganized to take the hospital. It's dragging out too much. I knew Sasha was going to do something stupid with that cop as soon as he said his name is Bob
Did Daryl's finger get bit by that melted walker?
I'm thinking Carol is going to die in that hospital.
I love Glenn and Maggie but their storyline is way too boring right now. To be honest I was hoping Maggie would shoot Abraham. I'm over him. I can't believe Maggie and Glenn aren't hurrying to get back to the group now that the trip to DC is off.
I was really tired while I was watching, maybe I missed details but I just found it really boring and almost like a filler episode leading up to the mid season finale.

I thought it was another good one. I have a feeling someone important is going to die soon. I knew that cop was screwing with Sasha, I was waiting for that! I feel like maybe Glenn & Maggie are pushing to leave their group. They were both pretty horrified by the murder scene in the church. Maybe they want a change? I was kinda hoping Eugene wouldn't wake up...lol

I'm going back and forth on whether I like this season or not. I find there are some parts that make no sense. I'm assuming someone big is going to die because there has been a lot of build-up but I'm not sure where it is headed. Is Rick going crazy again? Fr. Gabriel annoys the crap out of me, where did he think he was going to go after "escaping" from the church? I'm kinda hoping a zombie eats him soon.

Yea I don't get why Father Gabriel left either, he is going to die out there alone with the zombies. I could see though he was probably horrified by the murder that happened in his church but its a zombie apocalypse- everyone is basically just trying to survive. I totally called it w/ the guy Bob and Sasha before it happened... he was being too nice so I knew something was up with him. I really hope that they take the hospital crew down.

I saw a one minute clip of next weeks episode. It was Father Gabriel going to the school where the Terminus guys were hanging out eating Bobs leg.
In an interview with the actor who plays Father Gabriel he said that Gabe wants to check to see if Rick and the crew were being truthful, that the people they killed in the church (Terminus peeps) were really cannibals and dangerous or if Rick and crew were the dangerous ones.

That makes no sense, didn't Fr. Gabriel see Bob without his lower leg when Bob returned to the church?

I think Carol is going to die in the next episode.
I think it will be Beth, and Daryl will take it HARD. Plus in theory, Maggie should be upset, but she is all "Glenn, Glenn, Glenn" and doesn't seem to concerned with Beth.
I actually would like Carol, Daryl and Beth to all make it because I want to see the interaction of all three of them together now that Daryl has gotten close to both of them.

The walking dead mid season finale
Hmmmm. I cannot believe michone didn't cut that stupid preachers head off for bringing those walkers back to the church. Excellent timing from Glenn, Maggie and crew.
Why did they waste half the show on the cop dawn if she was getting killed. I thought there would be so much more action in that hospital.
Daryl and Maggie's reactions were so sad. I will miss Beth.
Why didn't they take the hospital over, it's by far the cleanest most secure place they've seen in ages!
I'm disappointed by the time wasted developing the storyline of the hospital pretty much for no reason. Can't believe we have to wait till Feb! LAME!
