OMG We wanted quality tires for our Jeep when it was time for new ones. Not top of the line but not cheapo either. Something that will last... that was $1000 after all the fees and taxes and rotation blah blah I couldn't believe it.
When DH needed new tires on what we call the gross car (it's a gold 95 buick lesabre that is falling apart, so it's his car to take to work lol) we wanted to go cheap as possible because the car is on it's last leg... cheapest tires with fees and all that jazz...$500. Ugh insane

Something interesting...
A lot of the items that are being listed as expensive for no good reason are items that people who are "extreme couponing" are getting for free.
I don't do much extreme couponing myself, but we have a friend of the family who does and he shares some of his "overflow" with us.
So it has probably been 2 years since I have paid for...
Body Wash
Razors
Toothpaste
Toothbrushes
Deoderant
Laundry Detergent
Dish Soap
And about once a month he brings us toilet paper and paper towels, as well as tissues and large packs of napkins.
He also brings us a lot of Honey Nut Cheerios, hah!
It makes me wonder --- are the prices of these items going up BECAUSE of extreme couponers getting them for free? I wonder how that effects it!

I have another... Ordering a drink at a diner. My DH and I went out for breakfast and ordered a large milk and orange juice. One was $2.50 the other was $3.50. For that price, I could have bought the whole container of each!!  Maybe I'm cheap but this sounded kinda high to me.

milk at 4 dollars a galloon is crazy but it is 10 dollars a galloon in hawaii !!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG THIS!! Fountain soda costs pennies...there's no need to charge $2-3 for each cup.

OHHHH INK cartridges for home printers!
you can get ones on amazon for a fraction of the price- same ink and works just as good! Like $5 for a pack of 5 compared to $50.
