This could be controversial, but I have a ???

A friend of mine was just over...she has a son that is about 12 weeks old, and she thinks there is a chance that she's pregnant again. She is very worried, especially since she didn't know if she wanted more than 1 child, and if she did, she wanted to wait a while...a looong while.


IF she is PG, she is thinking of not having the baby. Although I know that everyone has to make their own decisions, I am kinda bothered by this. It's not like she is a teenager, unmarried, etc...She has a wonderful husband, is very happily married, owns a house...

How would you feel?

I think that is something that only the person at hand can decide.

I'm no one to judge what everyone does with their life. Who knows what her reasoning is.

I feel its a personal choice but I hope she thinks about it long and hard.
I would be shocked and def concerned about how I was going to manage but I would also be excited about bringing my son a brother or sister.
Depending on how old she is who knows how many more chances she'd have..
What if you couldnt get pregnant agian?

This happened to my best friend - and she had the baby.

I would not consider ending the pregnancy myself, but I cannot judge her.

She needs to do a lot of soul-searching on this one and hopefully she will make the best decidion for herself and her family.

To each his own. I thought there was an amount of time you couldn't get pregnant right after giving birth? I don't know much about it.

Everyone has a right to their own decisions...however, i look at my son and I think...I could never do it...

Interesting, this is the last decision I would make and it is really hard to understand where she is coming from and why. But I really think it is her decision and I try not to judge people, ebcause I amnot standing in their shoes. There may be more you don't know about.

I think its a very personal decision and ultimately its her and DH decision. Who knows maybe her DH will want the baby and they will choose not to abort?

Definitely her and her dh's decision and I would not JUDGE her. It's their life!

My friends don't always make tough decisions that I agree with, but as a friend I try to support them in whatever way I can that I am comfortable with.

I think it's a completely personal decision, but I would hate hearing about it. Make your own decision without involving others but you & your DH.

Of course the answer is that she has to make ehr own decision, and don;t judge and etc etc...But how would I FEEL? I'd feel sorry for her to be in a position of an unwanted pregnancy, but she's married, she has a great DH, and she should have the baby. I'd be totally shocked and appalled if she decided to not keep the baby. Abortion is a difficult decision, but I don't feel it's something I can support when someone is married has a roof over her head, etc etc. Sometimes you get unplanned pregnancies those are the breaks. Abortion shouldn't be just an expensive form of birth control.

I think it's ridiculous, and she should have been more careful then. She's capable of having the baby, both health wise and financially, and I think it's selfish. Sorry girls, but this is just my honest opinion. My mom was in the same situation 30 years ago. Her and my father had my sister, and my mom got pg when my sis was 3 months old. My brother and sister are a year and a week a part. My mom said it was hard, but she thinks that everything happens for a reason. Thank God because I am so close with my brother. She made sure to be more careful, and they waited 4 years to have me :) I just think it's awful that people use abortion as a form of birth control. I don't know...I wouldn't even tell anybody if I was in her position, because it is so controversial. If she is PG, I hope she chooses whatever is best for her family.

Personally given her circumstances I would not have an abortion. I think she should seriously weigh the consequences of having an abortion and living with that decision the rest of her life. But in the end its a decision only her and her husband can make and I guess being pro choice I would support whatever decision she made whether I agreed with it or not.
