I didn't think it was funny at all. I would have gotten out of my car and warned everyone that walked by...these are kids. If someone was sitting in a car and my dd was walking by and he waited for her to just fall and potentially really hurt herself I would be livid. Someone could have really hurt themselves.
ITA. I thought it was lame, on top of being NOT funny and an odd thing to sit and laugh about over and over. I know it can be funny one time, but it never occurs to you the next person might have a cracked open skull when they go down?

This is kind of amazing and hysterical!
At first I thought it was funny for about a minute but it's stupid for an adult to record this for six minutes and not be concerned about those kids getting hurt by falling. If I were him, I would have informed the school and stood there warning kids about the slippery spot until I had to leave. I fell in the snow when I was about 20 and it wasn't fun. So glad none of kids got hurt bad.

Also I would be so embarrassed if this was my dh. But I guess the same people who think it's hysterically funny watching a bunch of school kids carrying their projects slip on ice and fall, would be the same personalities that would marry the type of guys that would record it. To each their own I suppose.

I laughed. Nobody was hurt. no harm no foul.
Some of those kids who went back to slip and slide on the ice some more deserved to fall again. lol. The school really should have taken care of that though.
and yes...if it was my kid...as long as they weren't hurt, I'd laugh.
ETA: kids are going to fall...it is going to happen and you're not always going to be there to protect them or warn them about what's ahead. All you can do is teach them to fall gracefully so the chances of hurting themselves is less. These are teenagers, not babies...if they can't handle a fall, or pay attention and walk carefully when they know there is ice out...well...it's a lesson they need to learn.

Just because no one was physically hurt, it can be embarrassing (especially for a middle schooler!) to fall in front of peers. I'm an adult and I would probably be embarrassed if I fell like some of these kids went down. I think its sad that the "adult" sat there taping it and giggling, when he could have been helpful and got out to warn them instead of laughing at their expense. I find no humor in this video and its sad that he is teaching his daughter to just sit back and laugh at others instead of doing something to help them avoid a potentially dangerous situation.

Right, or Ridiculousness, or Bloopers? Im just not looking into the would ofs, could ofs, should of hypotheticals of this. NONE of it happened so Im not going to get myself riled up and look into this for more than what it is. In the context that it actually occurred and nothing more, its funny. I guess Im going to hell for laughing when people fall and DONT get hurt.
FTR - I feel years ago on ice, and tore a ligament in my wrist, Im no stranger to ice falls.

When I was in high school I fell on my butt pretty hard but thought it was fine. A few days later I started to get golfball sized raised bruises all over both my legs. Turned out I had an inflammatory reaction in my lower extremely vessels from the fall. I could barely walk for three months but I was initially fine! I still have a bruise on my butt almost 15 years later.

I don't know who these people are, I can't change the fact that they fell down, I can't change what happened, I cant make the guy not film, after today, I will probably never even think if any of them again, ever. I usually agree with you but I just don't here. No one is lynching posters for laughing- we are just saying that WE don't find it humorous and imo the dad is kind of loserish for filming it. No more no less. I think he's stupid. That's all, kwim?

Hey, it's fine if you think it's funny, laughter is healthy, I'm not debating that. I'm just coming from the perspective of someone that has had an injury, like you, and as the person that stitches them up to note that you don't know if these people are "ok" or not. Not condemning you for thinking its funny. I get how someone that doesn't know/care about these people thinks it's funny.
