Posting embarrassing pictures or videos is actually a form of cyber bullying.
I didn't realize young teenagers were SO confident in themselves that they're probably totally fine that tons of people have now seen them wipe out in front of their school.
I thought the video was funny, it's funny when people fall. That's not my issue...my issue is the Dad is an ass. Just because it's funny doesn't make it right to laugh at it for 6 minutes and then spread it around the internet.
ETA: but obviously this is just the opinion of an uptight parent with no sense of humor, who must be a complete bore at parties.

This is kind of amazing and hysterical!
My dh saw the video on his fb feed and said that he thought for sure there would be some ironic ending like the dad getting out of the car and falling. He thought that without that kind of ending it wasn't funny enough to be this viral video. He didn't think the guy was a pedophile or should be arrested or will certainly go to hell- he just shrugged and said the guy was a loser. I think for the most part that's how people feel about this video. Just not really funny bc it's the same fallingg over and over and that the dad is sort of immature for recording and uploading. I personally don't extend that judgment to parents who are watching and laughing. I think 99% of those of you laughing probably wouldn't go to the extent of making the video and uploading it

I didn't respond to the other thread, but I do consider myself a laid back person and I didn't this video was funny.
I don't think that's being hypocritical, I just think there is a difference between humor and watching people potentially get hurt.

Some of you are cracking me up....you have GOT to be kidding me. Lighten up. It is not that serious.
Let me break it down for you.
1) Some people fell down
2) No one got hurt
3) Someone filmed it
4) Then they posted it
5) Then it was reposted all over the internet
6) People lost their damn minds over an internet video (pedophile, call the police, hes a bully (look up definition of bully, please), protect the (teenage) children from falling otherwise youre a terrible parent, no laughing allowed
7) Post another video today of a SMALL child falling, but thats OK and funny while this is the most serious and biggest atrocity to ever happen in the snow
7) Your life today is the same as it was yesterday and so is mine.

Put yourself in a middle schoolers brain...would it be more embarrassing to be caught on tape falling or to have your dad be the one to get out of the car and lord over a spot of ice so kids don't fall?
If my dad got out of the car and was standing there warning people about ice, I would be mortified!

If someone laughed, who cares??!! To each her own. I didn't find it funny in the least, but that's because I have been injured on the ice/ know people who have been injured on the ice. That makes me more sensitive to the whole thing. However, I don't care if others find it amusing. People have different perceptions and senses of humor. This isn't offensive in a clear cut way. It isn't as though puppies are being shot. It is a gray area and people will react differently. A major problem with society is reflected on LIF. People are unable to disagree while still taking the other persons' point of view into account.

I really wish I could understand why some people are being such assses because a few people decided to voice their opinion that this wasn't funny. Do you all get off on making people feel bad when they don't have the same sense of humor that you do? Is there some weird LIF rule I don't know about that we all need to have the exact same views?

I definitely don't care if anyone laughed at this, but why all the butt-hurt when some people say that they DIDN'T find it funny?

Eh, just another example of the microcosm that is LIF. Heaven forbid someone else feels differently. Instead of interesting spirited debate you get " " and called ridiculous for feeling differently. Some people are threatened by dissenting opinion. It has happened before and will happen again.

I didn't find it funny (not bad but it was boring) but I don't care if others do. I also don't see what the difference is between a video like this and some that you see on Americas funniest home videos. That show is full of people falling and getting injured. Obviously they get permission to show the home videos.

I always find it odd that people think it's funny to watch people getting hurt. It's what made America's Funniest Home Video's a huge hit so I think I am in the minority. It always makes me cringe. I couldn't even watch this.
