This is kind of amazing and hysterical!
I just think the dad lacks some kind of maturity but I wouldn't go so far as to say he's a "creep" or weirdo and that the police should get involved

And yes...I laugh when I fall, when my kid falls and whenever anyone else falls unless I can tell that it was a serious fall.

I didn't think it was funny, but I am more the type to say are you OK when someone falls, then to laugh. I also would have been pissed if this was my husband. There's a social norm that comes with being a parent and an unspoken rule that you look out for others kids. Maybe I'm just crazy...
No, you're not crazy. I don't think this is funny at all. Videotaping CHILDREN potentially severely hurting themselves??? Gross.
Anyone of these kids could have easily cracked their head open or broken a bone. Would it be so funny then?
I don't get why watching people almost get hurt is so funny. I'm sure it would have been a riot to see blood gushing everywhere and an ambulance pull up too!

Maybe I'm biased- having fallen on ice and badly hurting my leg and shoulder this morning, I'd be royally pissed if someone knew and didn't bother to warn me.

I don't think anyone is going to hell. I don't find it particularly funny, but I get that others do. I wouldn't like it if my DH did this, and it would bother me if someone took video or photographs of my child without my knowledge, let alone posted it online. I am not on FB, so maybe my view is different from other people's.

Exactly this. This man is a terrible model for his child. Don't help others, make fun of them, film it and then post it online for others to laugh at as well. And we wonder why children of today behave badly- it's because of parents like this! I honestly don't see how this is funny at all. Parents are supposed to help children, not mock them.

Just because no one was physically hurt, it can be embarrassing (especially for a middle schooler!) to fall in front of peers. I'm an adult and I would probably be embarrassed if I fell like some of these kids went down. I think its sad that the "adult" sat there taping it and giggling, when he could have been helpful and got out to warn them instead of laughing at their expense. I find no humor in this video and its sad that he is teaching his daughter to just sit back and laugh at others instead of doing something to help them avoid a potentially dangerous situation.
Does that mean things that are embarrassing aren't funny?
This is embarrassing for this man but extremely funny, imo.

They are old enough to know that when it snows there is potential for there to be ice on the ground. You guys keep saying "BUT THE CHILDREN!" like they are 5 years old and needed someone to come over and kiss their booboo. They were fine, they were all laughing about it. They walked away and went back to slide around some more.
Also, it's not even remotely illegal for these kids to be filmed in public- at least not this kind of video- especially by a dad who has every right to be there. He may be immature (though I laughed, so I guess so am I) but to twist it to make it like he's a pedophile or a predator in some way is just beyond me.

OMG! I guess this is a lesson to not leave your room, even to just put your room service plates outside the door, with no clothes on.
At least a robe or towel!!

So children behave poorly because they have parents with a sense of humor?
Ok. I'm sure that parents that are absentee or into drugs or are alcoholics raise GREAT well behaved children

Holy cow - talk about this spinning out of control.
No one kids are going to mass murders or stalked by a pedophile and the police arent going to launch an all out investigation bc some kids slipped on ice and someone thought it was funny.
People fell down.....GROWN children. Good grief. Talk about blowing things WAY out of proportion. Holy shit....

If a middle school aged girl filmed someone falling, laughed at them, and posted the video to go viral, she'd be accused of bullying and face consequences within the school. This dad is basically a giant bully...and then we wonder where kids learn it from.
The dad isn't just getting a chuckle, he's clearly disappointed when a few of the kids DONT fall. He sounds like a giant loser, IMO. Even the daughter says "We're kinda terrible people."

Some of you are cracking me up....you have GOT to be kidding me. Lighten up. It is not that serious.
Let me break it down for you.
1) Some people fell down
2) No one got hurt
3) Someone filmed it
4) Then they posted it
5) Then it was reposted all over the internet
6) People lost their damn minds over an internet video (pedophile, call the police, hes a bully (look up definition of bully, please), protect the (teenage) children from falling otherwise youre a terrible parent, no laughing allowed
7) Post another video today of a SMALL child falling, but thats OK and funny while this is the most serious and biggest atrocity to ever happen in the snow
7) Your life today is the same as it was yesterday and so is mine.
