My dad doesn't eat meat on Wed or Fri during lent. He also doesn't eat it during holy week.

today we don't eat meat and on holy thursday.
But on fridays we don't eat meat either.
We will have fish or pizza anything without meat

I have never heard of not eating fish or diary during lent. Actually, fish is what's for dinner.

I don't eat fish ever, but my family will eat it on Fridays. We don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent. I have one sister who *never* eats meat on Friday -the "good" Catholic that she is.

I never understood people eating fish or eggs during Lent when abstaining from "meat".
I know there are all sorts of explainations for it, but none ever made sense to me. I will always see fish as meat.

Fish is not considered a meat. Some people go so far as to say white meat (chicken or pork) is okay, but I kinda think that's pushing it. I'm pretty sure before the days of ordering a pizza and boxed macaroni & cheese, fish is what our parents and grandparents ate every Friday.
