Tilapia Receipe
I am thinking of receipes for Lent.
For Ash Wednesday or for any of the following Fridays...
Can someone send me a real good tilapia oregnanta receipe? I had it one time at a restaurant and LOVED it, but I am no where near a fish eater but I will try to prepare it myself and see if I can eat it.
DH LOVES it so it would be a good idea to try to make it during Lent when we cant eat meat.
Also, any pointers in how to buy it?
TIA!

Tilapia Receipe
I get it at the supremarket (Waldbaums) but from the fish guy, not pre-packaged. If you don't really like fish, try frying/baking it with different spices so you taste the spice and not the fish. I got a roasted red pepper artichoke tapanade at Trader Joe's (which I was eating like salsa). I put that over the fish and just baked it. It was really good.
As far as different fish, try scallops - again bread them. Or you could add them to pasta - a spicy marinara or pesto would be good.
My DS also loves salmon. I get enough for 2 meals, the first night we have roasted salmon, the 2nd/3rd night we have salmon burgers.
I don't make tilapia "oreganta" but I do sprinkle it (both sides) with old bay. Then zest a lemon and put lemon juice over the fish and some capers. bake and enjoy.
