tips on moving with a 16 mo old

hi ladies, i just went into contract on my house and closing is in about 6 weeks. DD will be about 16 months, any tips to make the transition into our new house easier? I will obviously have her room painted and done first (same as her old room) but anything else i can do? TIA!

Let her explore all the rooms. We moved when DS was 15 months and his room looked exactly the same with the exception of the color on the walls (a little brighter now). I don't think he realized he was in a new home even though we said it was his new house. I think he had a harder time adjusting not living with my parents anymore since we were their for a month.

We moved when my DD was 18 months old and made the transition easier by getting her the new bedding she wanted from the store and she wanted to go into her big girl bed(with all of the side rails and all).
