Re: TMI Question: Bikini Waxing
I've been getting waxed for years. It is not bad AT ALL!! It gets easier every time, and it takes longer for the hair to grow back. Less and less hair grows back too! I now get it every 3 to 4 mos. Go for it!!

Re: TMI Question: Bikini Waxing
if you work in the city, i recommend j'aime spa on 33rd (or 34th) around Madison. they do super cheap - and good - brazilians. $30. It's not a super fancy spa, but it's certainly not a nail salon (not that I'm saying there is anyting wrong with that either.)

Just a heads up...you're definitely more "sensitive" when you're pregnant.
But, it was worth it in my opinion.

It hurts like a b*tch but it's so worth it.
I agree. SOOOO worth the pain.... Also the first time is the worst and then for some reason it gets easier....has something to do with the way the hair grows in from shaving.......

Re: TMI Question: Bikini Waxing
Once a month, I get a Brazillian waxing job. The first time I went it hurt so much. Second time it hurt but not as much. The more you get it done, the less painful it is.
ETA: The pain is def worth it.

Re: TMI Question: Bikini Waxing
I have a Brazilian bikini wax ever 5 weeks. The regular bikini wax isn't so bad. The Brazilian- definitely an ouch.
Good luck.

Re: TMI Question: Bikini Waxing
are you doing bikini or brazillian?? bikini is much easier then brazillian. brazillian hurts like a mofo when they do underneath. bikini is not so bad, its quick.

Honestly - it isn't that bad

I do it all the time. I have to say that I anticipate it hurting more than it actually does. It's quick and over before you know it. And once you do it once, you will be hooked!
ETA: I go to a professional spa to get it done. I do not go to the nail place where I get my nails. A lot of people do, but I have done both and when I go to a spa (I go to The Emerald Door in huntington) I like it sooo much better - less pain, better job, etc.
i agree with this 100%. i really think the anticipation and the akwaardness of having no pants on - is worse than the pain.
i also agree that you should get it done by a professional - not in the back of the nail salon.
