Congrats! I've never commuted to NYC, but have had to commute to Brooklyn several times, many more in the last months...and taking the car to the train to the bus is very tiresome...I would come home exhausted! I didn't even want to cook dinner! You must be thrilled!

Congratulations! It's such a nice feeling--commuting is no fun. Though now I have a baby, I miss the time to myself now and then. But you are right, you get to sleep in a little more.

I was just saying to DH I can't wait until his promotion & raise go through so I can look for a job on LI. I can't stand the area in Manhattan I work in. I call it the armpit of midtown
