Today was a rough day... I was in the hospital
I have had terrible stomach pains for 2 days and I went to the hospital. It was not fun I got soo sick off the stuff you drink before you get a cscan. Well it turns up i have DIVERTICULITIS( yes you heard right--- what our grandparents have) I can not eat anything with seeds anymore. No popcorn, sunflower seeds. Tomorrow is our anniversary and I am on meds and pain killers. Well Happy Anniversary to Scott and I--3 years and I will be home!

OH no, that stinks  Dh has early stages and was in the ER once for the pain from it!

My Dad has it and so does my FIL, I know how painful it can be.
I hope you are feeling better and that you get to enjoy your anniversary.
Oh and I know a few younger people who have it too.

My husband HAD this and so does my SIL... DH had a major colon resection almost 3 years ago to remove the pockets in his colon that were causing the infection and he has not had a problem since. He was told to stay away from all seeds, nuts and certain foods that were hard to digest however he kept having severe bouts of the diverticulitis and they had to do the surgery.
My SIL has been going through bouts of diverticulitis on and off for about the past year. She is not careful about what she eats and suffers b/c of it.
You have to be very very careful of your consumption of nuts, seeds and certain grains even when you're not having a bout - that is the hardest part....

My DH has this...I can only imagine the pain you were in. My DH NEVER goes to the doctor (and he's in the medical field, so go figure)...he had such severe stomach pains he had no choice but to go, and lo and behold, it is diverticulitis!
This was years ago when he was diagnosed...he is very careful with what he eats and hasn't had an attack since...
I hope it's the same for you!
