Toddler Beds
Did you use one and how long do they usually use them for. We are debating whether or not to get one.

Re: Toddler Beds
I'm probably one of a few who have used a toddler bed (space was an issue). We put him in it at 22 months and he is 4 now and still in it. No plans to move him just yet, although we already have the twin bed ready to go. We just need to figure out what to get rid of in his room so that it will fit!

Re: Toddler Beds
We have a toddler bed. My son used it and loved it now it is my DD's. We will probably use it until she is 3 or so then switch her. I was going to put DD right into a twin bed but we alsready had this. I think it is a good transition .

Re: Toddler Beds
My my 1st I used one and he loved it. He was probably in it for 1yr. My 2nd had one but slept in it maybe 3x's. He was not a fan of it. My littlest guy when he's done with the crib will be going right into a twin because my 2 youngest share a room and my husband made a trundle bed for them.

Re: Toddler Beds
DD had one from 2 til 4 or so and loved it. If they fall out f bed its a shorter fall than most twin beds. They are adorable too!

Re: Toddler Beds
My oldest went into a twin bc I had it and he has a big room. My DD is almost 4 and is still in the toddler bed. Her room is so tiny and she still fits pretty well but we are looking to switch her over soon - a twin mattress is just more comfortable than a crib mattress since they don't make crib mattresses in plush or pillow top. They say toddler beds can go through 5 years old but I cannot imagine her as a 5 year old in one.

Re: Toddler Beds
My DD and DS crib converts to a toddler (not a twin) and they will both use it until they out grow it.
Haven't put my DD in it yet.

Re: Toddler Beds
Nope, we went straight to a twin size bed. She transitioned without hesitation...

Re: Toddler Beds
DD bed converts into a toddler bed and then a full size bed. We haven't used either one but went straight from the crib to a queen size bed. She wants nothing to do with the crib anymore, one night she wanted to sleep in the "big" bed and has been since.
We never planned on switching the crib around to the toddler bed with her b/c I'm due with DS in Sept so my plan was to move her out of the crib in July but she is already out.
We will use the toddler bed with DS since we have and then switch to the full size bed. I would go directly to a twin, full or queen, skip the toddler bed.
