Re: Toddler eating issues
Its hard to battle w/ a 2 year old. Sometimes I bribe DS w/ food - take a bite of "meat" and you can have "pasta". The other day he wanted my mom's drink and I said he had to take 4 more bites. She moved her cup a little bit closer to him each time he took a bite.
As far as throwing food: Our house rule is we don't throw {toys/food} we throw kisses *smootch*. You might want to try that with the food throwing.

She's sooo headstrong that honestly I don't know if that would work..I've tried saying if you eat your dinner you'll get a cookie after...and she'll just go nuts even more...
She's also sick with a double ear infection right now, so it's not a great time to try to be rational with her

Even harder when she's sick - there really isn't much wrong w/ blueberries and pasta... at least she'd be eating.

What's wrong with blueberries and pasta?
Not that you should give into her demands, but that sounds pretty filling to me. I figure I'm not the one eating it, so knock yourself out.
I would not give the cookies, that's just trying to test you.
Would she settle for some dry cereal in a bowl that she can carry around?

Honestly... I don't give them other food if they don't eat what I give them. I just don't want to start that habit.
I'd take her away from the table, and then give her a snack in a little bit. You can give her blueberries then.

She has pasta allll the time...I need her to have veggies or something, plus she's a little chubb, and I don't want her to get used to JUST eating pasta...She had pasta for lunch so I didn't want her to have it again...but she did, I felt badly esp since she's sick

Re: Toddler eating issues
I wouldn't push food at all right now, especially if she has an ear infection. When she's hungry, she'll eat. I know it's worrisome, but try to ignore it. Just make sure she gets fluids.
I have a world class picky eater, and everything I have read, everyone I have consulted says to ignore the picky eating and not make a big deal of it. Don't bargain with them to eat food. Just offer a variety and see what they take. I've noticed with foods that are new or that he thinks he doesn't like, it helps to put it in a bowl on the table, but not on his plate. Sometimes he gets curious and tries some.
Can't say I see him eating many different foods, but ignoring the bad eating has made meal times less stressful. Oh, and give her a multivitamin if you don't already to make up for nutrients lacking in the diet.
