 I'd say it's obvious there was more to the story than she was feeling disoriented, threw her phone out of the window & her brother called the police
Even more devastating to the family. Has her husband been in the news at all? I've only heard her brother speak.

Something just didn't seem right w/this accident. I'm very confused though. Didn't it say that people saw her leave and she was fine and they all said goodbye to her. Did her husband see her before he left on his fishing trip??? Why in God's name would he even think to let her get in a car w/5 other children - TWO OF HER OWN NO LESS!! and drive? I am heartbroken for her brother and their children. I don't even know these people and I was crying so badly for these people. I just can't even understand this and why people continue to get behind the wheel and drive. Look at how many lives were lost FOR WHAT!??!!?!

I'm so sick over this.
First - the fact that those beautiful girls and those well loved men had to die because of her stupidity and recklessness.
Second because her poor brother... not only is he living without his children but he now has to live knowing that his sister was truly responsible. It has to have destroyed his memory of her. And her husband and child will live on knowing that her final act destroyed so many lives.
I am so sad for them.

I cannot believe a mother, an aunt would do this to those precious children and the rest of the drivers on the road (and the poor men who were killed as a result of her actions).
I am in SHOCK. Her DH had to know, he was there with HER.

I am so disgusted over this report. I really thought she was sick...I thought diabetic coma or something but this....OMG how dare she!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the innocent lives lost because of a disgusting move...R U kidding me. I'm disgusted....

I just don't understand - twice the legal limit!!! Didn't ANYONE see that she coudln't walk? I mean My GOD, that is hammered how could NO one have seen this? I am so disturbed by this!!!!!! I can't stop thinking of those beautiful children and one of them was her own. I just can't even imagine what was going on in her head

ITA! I don't get it. They say she left the campground at 9:30am and the accident happened at 1:30pm...HOW was she that drunk still at 1:30pm?  Was she drinking while driving, with a car full of kids??

I have found it quite strange too that her DH never spoke out - the brother did (obviously he lost all of his children) however, this guy lost his wife, daughter and his son was in the hospital. I just thought he was too distraught to speak but maybe he knew the condition she was in. Who knows. I hope the story isn't true but from the get go, I thought something was missing from it.

I felt the same way. I kept saying to everyone that she HAD to have been sick. No mother would do something like that!
