From the beginning I found unbelievable that people HAD TO find an excuse for her. She killed children and other bystanders. SHE went the wrong way.
I can only imagine if she had been a men. I doubt she would have had as much sympathy then.
I still cannot believe the disparity on how people feel when a man or a woman in involved in an accident.
SHE was drunk and under the influence of drugs. And NOW everyone think she is a POS. Not before.. when she went the wrong way and killed people.
This is a very good point.

This is a very good point. Personally, I could care less if it was a man or woman. I would hope, in any situation, that something like this was not caused by irresponsibility and selfishness.
Man or woman, until there is proof of wrongdoing, I will always give someone the benefit of the doubt.

Because everyone thought she was sick like a heart attack or anyeurism or something. That is why. Man or women, I would feel bad.

I dont think this has anything to do with gender? If they reported that she had a seizure, a heart attack or a stroke, that she had an adverse reaction to prescribed medication - then it was just a horrible tragedy. How can you blame a person who has a medical condition that came out of nowhere? The fact that she was drinking makes it murder.

Part of me wishes she lived so she could spend her life suffering and suffering the repurcussions of this.
It goes without saying, that I of course would have preferred those angel children had lived too.

i thought (and most people might feel the same way) that it was a tragic accident b/c something must have happeend. Like a stroke or something. something that she had no control over that would explain why she went the wrong way.
Drugs and alcohol never entered my mind. I am shocked!

before I thought she had some medical condition which caused her to drive the wrong way...that was my initial reaction, I would have felt the same if she was a he...but now, that this has come out, YES, I think she is a POS cause she was wasted

ITA. A sick person is a sick person. Man or woman. A murderer, which she is..totally different.

god, I pray this doesn't get confirmed, I really really do. Newsday hasn't confirmed yet. I don't get why she'd call her brother to tell him she didn't feel well. It's all very odd and I PRAY to god this isn't confirmed b/c I would be absolutely DISGUSTED!

Re: Toxicology reports on Taconic Crash in
I think what people are fogetting about is the family that are left behind. That husband has to live with the guilt that his wife killed thier nieces and nephews. A son will never know his mother and his final images are those of fear and death.
A brother who will never hold his children again. A mother who will never braid her daughter's hair.
We sit here and pass judgement on people we don't know and on a story that we don't know all of the pieces to.
I pray that we never have to feel the pain that these 3 families are feeling right now.

this is what the brother reported after the accident...she was already dead and could not confirm his story. I bet it will come out, that he called her to check on the kids, realized she was high and drunk and told her that he was going to have her cell phone traced. Then called the police. That is why she threw it out the window...regardless...this story is just so tragic for all involved!!!

The Westchester medical Examiner's office ruled the case as a homicide - there must be some truth to the reports.

I agree with you 100% and that's why I think so strongly about this. I AM feeling for that poor family left behind. First they have to deal with the fact that they lost their entire family and now know that the reason was because of a very very poor decision on his sister's part. I would never ever be able to function if I was that poor family that lost all three of their daughters! Never

Re: Toxicology reports on Taconic Crash in
This is awful, simply awful. I have to admit, I bought the hype and figured maybe she had serious blood sugar (diabetic) issues that weren't diagnosed, or was having a seizure of some kind, something. But it did seem odd that she called her brother and asked him to pick her and the children up because she wasn't feeling up to driving, then drove off. I mean if I felt awful and couldn't focus, I would stay put and probably go to a hospital or something so the children are watched in case I passed out.
She is a POS--all those poor people that died. Who gets stoned and drunk in the middle of the day and goes to pick up yougn children? I am passing judgement, but I have very little tolerance for people who drive under the influence. I know too many people who have had their health and lives ruined because of drunk/stoned drivers.

Re: Toxicology reports on Taconic Crash in
My thing is..if it was an on going problem that family knew about...why did they let their kids in the car with her? Were the brother and sis in law on vacation with them at any point at all? They let their 3 kids go away with them knowing she had a problem? Or did she hide it? Or did something happen to make her just lose control and drink and smoke heavily?? So many pieces missing.

The report isn't official yet, but this just sounds so wrong - BAC twice the limit??? was she drinking while she was driving?? with all the kids in the car - thats absurd! who does that? at 10 in the morning?? I really don't get it. I havn't really been following the story....I thought the accident happened at night and she couldn't read the sign ...
Those poor families that are suffering because of this. I really hope this story is wrong. Here is the newsday story from today.

I agree that there are so many pieces missing. There are so many different stories floating around...Did the Dad go fishing, did he go home? What did she really say to her brother, did she really drive drunk and high for 4 hours??? I don't think we are ever going to know what really happened.
I just pray for those poor families that have been ripped apart by all of this.
