Re: Trader Joe's flops?
Chicken lime burgers & their raw chicken is gross. I've bought it in two separate occasions & it's smelled horrible.

Re: Trader Joe's flops?
The worst for me, by far, was the trader joe's frozen seasoned french rack of lamb. The smell when I opened the package was bad but I thought maybe I just need to cook it. I cooked it & couldn't even finish slicing it, I was going gag. To make matters worse, it left a thick, greasy film in my pan which was a pain to clean

Trader Joe's flops?
Honestly, I think most of Tjs processed / packaged meals aren't very good. I like to stick with their organic / natural items like fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, raw honey, beans, lentils, quinoa ,yogurt , coconut oil ,nut butters etc.

Mokki (sp?) Dessert. Ick.
Now we just stick to unprocessed foods. I love their packaged vegetarian salads. Perfect for lunch at work.

I returned the coffee yesterday, no problem.
I told the guy I really, really, really tried to like it, but it was just gross. He laughed and said that happens sometimes.

This reminded me of something else! A couple years ago, they had something called "Vanilla Mint" yogurt. OMG, it was the worst thing I have ever tasted in my life, it was like eating spoonfuls of toothpaste or liquid antacid. I love anything mint-flavored and I was gagging on this. No surprise that I never saw it on the shelves again.

I've bought the Yoplait brand at Target and it tastes delish. Really similar to pumpkin pie, minus all the guilt.

Yoplait is always so realistic on their flavors. It's actually scary. Blackberry cobbler- tastes just like dessert Red Velvet Cake- exactly the same. It's nuts! God knows what chemicals they have to use to achieve this, but damn it tastes good!

The Chocolate Cat Cookies aren't chocolatey at all!!! In fact they taste kind of weird.
not to be snarky at all, but i was always confused by those - i thought they were actually cookies for cats, and i think they have dog ones too right?
For me, i just didn't like the cookie butter after hearing all the raves about it. gave it to a friend of mine.

I am not totally crazy about the cookie butter either. I feel like it's too rich and makes me feel sick immediately afterwards.
I then could go for months before I will have it again.

I sure hope so. DS loves them and eats them all the time!
I think the tub actually states "for people" on it.

Re: Trader Joe's flops?
Their Curry Chicken Tenders. UGH- they were pretty much inedible. WAAAAAAY too strong of a taste and kind of tasted like the meat was spoiled and it was masked with the spice.
BLECH!

I won't buy their "fresh" meats. I have had a few bad experiences with the smell being "off".
I don't like their boxed chicken broth - it's a little gross.
I really don't buy their meals so I can't speak about those.

I have bought ground beef from Target, and it has that same smell. I think they must use a boatload of preservatives or something, since both stores have really long expiration dates on their ground beef!

Ugh thats another place I won't buy meat from. My cousin found maggots under the ground beef when she opened it to start cooking it
