Transitioning from a Gentle or Lactose Free Formula to Milk

We are in the process of transitioning. DS seems extremely gassy and is waking up numerous times at night. He has no issues during the day for the most part. The longest he's been sleeping at night is a 2 hr stretch.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did you take another route (like a toddler formula or something).

Thanks!

Anyone? Just looking for thoughts - I'm a tired and frazzled mommy.

DD went from Similac Soy to Soy Milk. DD was taking the soy milk for a few months and then her ped suggested Lactaid milk which worked well. There was no real reason for the switch - just something else to try.

DD is 22 months and she is now transitioning to regular cow's milk. She is having no problem with it. I think her sensitivity was something she had to grow out of.

HTH!

Thanks! I appreciate this. I just felt so bad for him this morning - we were both exhausted and crabby.

You're welcome! The first time we tried going from the soy formula to cow's milk was a disaster! I feel for you! It will get better!!
