Transitioning to one nap, need pointers.

So she def gave up her morning nap, this morning was the last one...I would normally put her down between 9 and 10, for the past two weeks, she is up most of the time and will sleep for maybe 10 minutes and up...
Anyway, today bc she didn't sleep this AM and my MIL was watching her she put her down a bit later. Her second nap was normally around 1, she put her down at 1:20ish and she only slept for an hourChat Icon
When do you think I should start putting her down for one nap?? She was ultra ultra tired at 1 already, so she obviously needs it sooner!

Any pointers to make this easy would be great!!Chat Icon

If she is skipping her 10 am nap - I would aim for 12/12:30 ish. When DS dropped his 2 naps per day (both 2 hours each), he went to a 3-4 hour afternoon nap (yahh for mommy!) --- i HOPE IT WORKS OUT FOR YOU :)

OMG I'm jealousChat Icon DD would give me an hour if that for each nap...So I'm totally thinking I won't even get 2 hours from her in one nap!!!Chat Icon

I agree with the 12/12:30ish. Feed her lunch and lay her down. Who knows you may get an hour and a half out of her. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I think I am at this point too, except they are fighting the afternoon nap, which makes it way too long between when they wake up from their am nap and then go to sleep for the night.

this is Liam to a t. He too is fighting a PM nap. He still goes down at 10AM and will stay asleep about 2 hours. But from like 12n/1pm-on he is up and about.

Yeah, I think I'm going to try pushing the am nap later - they've been going down at 11 lately. I'm going to try to push it to 12-12:30 and see what happens.
I put them down around 3:30 today for an afternoon nap- DD fell asleep about half an hour ago and DS is still awake. Chat Icon

Lauren - Samantha just did this.....

She has been fighting her morning naps like crazy. Hysterical fits anytime you go near the crib with her (which is SO not like her). This morning she took an hour nap 11-12 (she usually sleeps for close to 3 hours).

I put her down for an afternoon nap around 3:15, all signs that she was tired, rubbing her eyes, wanting her sleep sack... WELL, she never fell asleep. Babbled and played for a while. About 15 mintues ago (4:45) she started to cry hysterically, I was finishing up washing some pots, before going in, and guess what ... SHE'S ASLEEP.... 5 friggen oclock.... Chat Icon Chat Icon How do I possibly wake her now????

Im going to let her sleep till 5:30 since that's the time she normally wakes from her afternoon nap. Anything later, she will not go to bed tonight.
