Traveling with little ones (re: car seats)
We're planning a trip to visit IL in Florida later this year. DS will be 2.5 years and uses a booster seat in the car.
When traveling with young children, do you bring your car seat from home? We have the Graco Nautilus and it's waaay to heavy to drag through JFK.
We don't anticipate driving very much once we are in Florida. Basically, we're just visiting the grandparents. Do I buy a cheaper car seat (like a Cosco) and install it once we are there?
ETA: After this visit, we probably won't be back for another year.

I would buy a booster online, or have them buy it so its down there permanently.

I would just buy a car seat cover and check it in. It does not count against your luggage.
It was very easy when we had 1 child. It's a bit more challenging with 2 kids and 2 car seats now. Our luggage and car seats don't fit on one cart anymore.

My parents invested in a car seat and stroller for when my DS or my sisters DS visits. My mom got them on sale at target and it was worth it not to have to travel with a car seat or stroller.
I would just have something there if you are going to visit a few times a year.
