Some people on here are a whole other person on this board than they are off.......but I do think that posters here have a reputation that follows them, thus people will always react to what they say differently then if anyone else said it

I have no problem expressing my values and opinions on the board. I would express them just as empatically if you were speaking to me in a room face to face especially when it comes to religion, politics, sports, and education.

I think in general, yes. But the boards do give you the opportunity to think before you post and I've found myself backing off or rewording if I feel something will be taken the wrong way or if I dont' feel I'm adding anything to the issue by posting my true thoughts.
And of course I have no control over how my posts are interpreted by others!
