I went on the pill about 11 years ago to regulate my period (it was very irregular, anywhere from 30-45 days in between) but at that time I was pretty thin and very athletic.

I went off the pill, and waited a few months to start trying. It took us about 3-4 cycles before I got my BFP.

I was on the pill for 12 years before stopping. I dont rememer having and problems before the pill. When I stopped the pill I was very irregular for 6 months. I even had AF for 39 days in a row at one point. But also during this I had spinal injections for a back injury. So my dr was not sure if it was the steriod injections that caused this and or stopping the pill. But after 6 months it started to get more and more regular. I was off the pill for 11 months when I got my BFP. We tried for 9 of those months.

My periods were like clockwork before going on BCP. I was on for approx 3 years.

Once I came off the pill my cycles were all over the place and it took us 13 months to get our BFP.

I was on the pill for 7 years before going off.

I went on it originally because I did have period problems - some months I didn't get it, and eventually - I just had months of spotting.

I got pregnant after trying for 10 months, on my second month of clomid.

Before the pill, I was regular but had long-ish cycles - 35 days. I was on the pill on and off for 10 years, went off last June, and had wacky periods afterwards with cycles from 30-60 days - it was all over the place and there was no pattern of shortening or regulating even after 10 months. My OB put me on clomid to regulate me (I was ovulating on my own btw, just not predictably and OPKs rarely worked for me but bloodwork confirmed ovulation). It didn't regulate me, at least not that first cycle - maybe it would've at a higher dose, but somehow I managed to get pregnant anyway - guess DH and I got lucky that cycle on the timing since we were basically BD'ing blind.

I was on the pill for over 5 years, and got pregnant with twins 11 days after I went off it

I was on the pill for 15 years. I was an IFer but not for cyclical reasons but for another - cervical stenosis.

It is important to remember that the pill masks what you're real cycles are like whether they are typical or not. The pill in no way had an effect on my fertility and I don't know anyone on the pill who attributes waitng to conceive on the pill or for how long they were on it.

Stopped BC, in December, BFP in March.
