I swear this is what celebrities do...get a tummy tuck at the same time as their planned c-section.

Re: tummy tuck
I don't doubt that there are doctors who will do a tummy tuck and a C-section at the same time but my doctor firmly advised against it and gave me many reasons. If you google "C-section tummy tuck," you will get some interesting information. I hope to have a tummy tuck at some point.

LISTEN TO ME SKINNY MINNY - some of us can't go back to a size 0 two weeks after having a baby!
Seriously though - I still have a good 15lbs to lose before I even look somewhat decent. It is SO HARD to workout after taking care of a maniac for 12 hours straight. And, since I am stressed - I eat more - so that kills the diets. I need to get more motivated - I have 3 months until bathing suit season.
I don't think I would do a tummy tuck after I had the last kid - but that's just because I am such a wimp!

Even if you lose all the weight you can still have a pouch or floppy skin.

Re: tummy tuck
DDDD Nuts... I am not skinny minnie I have like 6more lbs to lose and I want to lose 10 on top of that.... I think bc I was such a gym addict pre Sofia my body has memory.. I am also one who doesn't eat when stressed or tired..
They abuse me at work I eat JUST salad with lemon. Rice cakes with cottage cheese , home made veggie soup. I am determined to be in my bikini in the summer.. I haven't even had time to go to the gym, I am exhausted. I work 50 hrs a week and take care of Sofia and my diva husband...
D surgery rocks...
tummy tuck does that leave a scar?

Even if you lose all the weight you can still have a pouch or floppy skin. Yes that is very true, I have a friend who had a C/S 8 months ago, she is back to her size 0 and works out a lot, but says that she can't get rid of that "pouch or floppy skin" she says it's mostly around her lower tummy(whatever that means) So I read up on it and turns out, that when women have C/S most of them end up with that extra tummy for whatever reason, even after they get in shepe. so sad , I hope I get back to my old shape when I start working out(if ever )

Re: tummy tuck
Tummy tuck is not for losing weight, most drs wont do it unless u lose a certain amt first...its for that huge flap of skin some women get, most likely not form one baby unless oyu are older and your skin doesnt go back...my friend has twins and had a flap of skin that you could not imagine unless you have seen it or have one yourself...she has a TT and yes it hurt, they cut you from hip to hip and pull it down like a lampshade,....hahha, she was 110 pounds when she had the surgery....so its def not for overeweight people...i mean it may help your tiummy but its kinda a waste unless you lose first

i hear you! i had bad edema of the pelvis/abdomen which according to my docs made my csection recovery worse than the norm...(i wouldn't know what the norm is since this was my first baby) but seriously the thought of another surgery makes me sick.
i would def consider the TT if i ever have #2. they say you forget with time but i'm 5 months pp and although my sleep deprived memory is not at its best - THAT memory is pretty fresh in my mind

I actually went for a consultation for one. Basically the cut out the "pouch" section or your tummy, pull the top down, make you a new belly button (yes, they really have to do this) and stitch you back up. You will have a scar. Since I had a C-section, the doctor said, they would cut right where my C-section scar is.

Re: tummy tuck
I am seriously considering it.
My tummy has never gone back to its normal size and I hate it. I can't look at it.
I was told to excercise, etc. But it's the skin. I have no stretch marks. Mainly because I started to show right away and my skin got stretched for so long over the months I was PG. I did not just pop in the last 2 months. The OB said that the skin had probably stretched too much to come back.
I still have that flap on my belly.
I am actually 10Lbs less than I was prior to being PG.
I am not a fan of cosmetic surgery but this is really a sore subject with me. I discussed with DH also not a fan of cosmetic surgery and he is OK with it if I want one after #2.

Re: tummy tuck
my stomach is fine now but after more kids who knows....I'd definately get one.
I don't think I'd do it at the same time as the c-section though even if they could.
nip it, lift it, suck it out...I'm down with all of it if need be.

Re: tummy tuck
I most definitely am getting a tummy tuck, as soon as I stop BFing baby #3 when he/she comes along. I have so much loose skin that no amount of working out can fix, so I decided I am going for it.

Re: tummy tuck
I would LOVE to get a tummy tuck!
I was a size 2 before being pregnant - I have lost all the weight and am back into my old clothes but my belly is not the same. I have this extra "flap" of skin that I hate. I eat really well and I excercise but it does not really make a difference plus I have stretch marks.
Its funny because my mom never got stretch marks and her skin didn't end up stretched out so I thought I would not either - Oh well there goes that theory...
