Ultrascreen questions
I orignially had 2 questions, but after reading some previous posts- now I have even more. Any answers would be great!
1. - Is the ulstrascreen sonogram internal or external?
2. I'm having it done at North Shore - and my doc said "it's a good ultrasound" , does she mean it's a good quality machine and you can see clearly? Or is is possible that it's 3D?
3. I had to mail my bloods in on a sheet of paper a week or so ago- so will I still have to wait for results?
Thanks for any help??

Re: Ultrascreen questions
My ultrascreen sono was external.
I did notice that the picture quality was better - especially on the printed pictures. If you look at the 14 week sono pic in my album you will see what I mean.
I also had my blood taken early. The results were ready within a week, so your blood work might be ready by the time you go to your appt.

ETA: I did not go to North Shore. My doctor is in Manhattan so I had my ultrascreen at Cornell. I doubt that makes a difference though.

Re: Ultrascreen questions
My ultrascreen was both internal and external, but usually they are done just externally. It was done by a GE machine in 2D.
My bloodwork was done on the same day as the ultrascreen.

Re: Ultrascreen questions
My ultrascreen was external. My blood was sent in the same day as the ultrasound. I got my results at my next appointment (16 weeks) but they said I couldve called after 2 weeks for the results.

Re: Ultrascreen questions
I had mine done at NS Manhasset and it was external, had my blood done there, and definitely enjoyed it because we were able to see the bay for a while!! I got my results at my next Dr.'s appointment, but they said I could have called within a week!

Re: Ultrascreen questions
I had mine a few weeks ago, It was an external test took about five minutes. She measured the neck of the baby and said it looked good. Although it must be combined with the blood work for final results, she told me. I went for blood and they put a drop on a paper..I called a week later and got the ressults that all ws fine Good luck!!!!!!!!!
