That's what I thought too!!
My sister and I thought the same! Funny how pregnancy and earthquakes have the same effect

oceanside, we were MOVING!
our office backs the train and my CEO said "its just the train" ummm, hello, NO TRAIN GOING BY! it was crazy. we instantly knew it was an earthquake!

I was outside in downtown Manhattan walking to get lunch. Didn't feel a thing.
I come back to my building and everyone is evacuating...apparently they felt it upstairs (I'm on the 38th floor). Scary

Me too. The baby was sleeping, but I was holding my oldest in the doorframe.

Yep, here in NC! Only when it originally happened it rattled my DDs toys, & thought it was the washing machine. Then I realized I was already drying them, and when the playroom door rattled I thought someone was in my house.
Finally my DH called & asked if I was ok.
I said how did you know I dropped my ottoman on my knee? (which I had just done)
He said, no..... then told me there was an earthquake 
Then he asked, if someone was in the house, why are you still home?

Yep, I'm from Buffalo and my family felt it. I also have family up in Toronto today and it was felt all the way up there.

Felt it in hewlett harbor! Chandeliers were swaying, cabinet doors bouncing, drawers shakin - i swore the house was hauntung me.

I was in a broom closet pumping !! (@Good Sam) I've had 3 hrs sleep in 3 days so I just thought I was really loopy for a minute, then when I figured out what was going on, I freaked a little "i can't run out of the building with this contraption on my boobs!!..please dont let me die this way"  The whole building moved !!!

I had just turned on my car and it started jumping ..first I thought someone was in the back seat/trunk shaking the car and was spooked (but that didnt make sense) then I thought pregnancy made me dizzy then I thought something is wrong with this car - I have to get this serviced?! It stopped I went to 7-11, back to work parking lot 10 min later and the radio news said earthquake! I was like ohhhh!!!! Last thing I'd ever think of.

I was on the floor playing with my niece and it felt like someone was trying to pull the rug out from under me an d I thought I was getting dizzy. I turned around and saw the dresser mirror and cords from fan totally shaking,.

I was at my office in Woodbury. I swear, I gripped my desk and planted my feet on the floor because I thought I was getting sick and nauseous. The floor was literally moving side to side. Not a violent shake, just a slow shake back and forth.
DH was at home. He said he felt the couch move, and then looked in the kitchen and the pot rack was swaying back and forth!

I felt it while I was at work in Melville!
I was sitting at my desk when I heard a rumbling in the ceiling and I thought someone was in the vents or maybe walking on the roof of the building. Then I started to feel very dizzy and felt the ground shaking. I was all alone in the office and thought it was just me! I went outside the office and the people in the suite next to me came out also and we wondered if it was an earthquake. I called my dad who was in Queens and he asked if I felt the earthquake!
Never thought I'd ever feel one!

definitely felt it in Huntington! I was outside on my mom's deck feeding my baby and I felt the chair shaking. I thought maybe a big truck passed by or something but didnt hear anything and it lasted longer than a truck would have taken to pass by. So I stood up and still felt shaking. I went inside and told my mom to come out and feel the deck because it was moving. Earthquake never crossed my mind! ! 5 minutes later we heard on the radio that it was an earthquake. My parents thought I was crazy until we heard the news because they didnt feel anything inside the house.

My whole desk was shaking -- when my coworkers walked into the back and saw me they asked what was wrong and I said "I think I just felt a small earthquake" -- they burst into laughter and called me crazy.
Then the news came on.
Who is crazy now?
