THE LADY CLAIMED TO LIVE IN BALDWIN BUT NEVER WANTED TO GIVE ME HER CROSS-STREET SO I COULD POST AROUND HER NEIGHBORHOOD!

This is what I am getting from your post.
You lost your dog on Ocean ave in front of malverne HS
A lady found him and brought him to a Vet on hempstead ave
The vet said the lady lives in baldwin but she never left her # for anyone to call her if the owner is found???
W T FFFFFFF is going on here????
sorr...yes the lady found him at malvern hs...went to the vet in hempstead to see if he had a chip, the vet has her # and is tryign to locate her.
the women (i assume and am 100% sure its the same lady who the vet has the # to) had called me private told me she found him infront of malvern hs took him to the vet to see if he had a chip (which he does not) then she took him to her place but he ran away. she refused to give me her name, tele # or address.
so I am hoping the vet can talk to her and knock some sense into her so that she can be of further help.
I hope that if she refuses the vet will give me the number so I can then go to the police!

Maybe hte lady is just a crazy and is getting off on all of this. Is the vet verifying he saw your dog?

the vet that picks up the phone did not see him, but the other vet that was there when the lady took him, wrote down all the info and Sable meets the description and the vet told me the same thing that the women told me re: her finding him infront of malvern hs!
SORRY FOR ALL THE CONFUSION...trying to call places, go on different website sites at the same time!
If anyone hears anything please message me!
He can be in Lynbrook, Malvern, Hempstead, Baldwin

I was going to call you to see if i can help but it seems like there is nothing to do except wait for the Vet to help you.. Why would anyone rescue a lost dog and then refuse to give you any info. You must be going crazy..

I would contact the police and let them know that you believe this woman has stolen your dog. The police will contact the vet and obtain whatever information the vet has. They will then conduct an investigation. If the lady has your dog, they will find out. Good luck to you. The sooner you contact the police (go to the precinct and file a report -- theft of property) the better.

I went yesterday and posted fliers on almost every poll in the Foxhurst area. I also had the pet amber alert call home in Baldwin.
Had a few people call me to tell me they have not seen him, but this one lady has been so helpful...she has started a search for him as well with her neighbors. I am going to go by the area this Sat and spend the whole morning/afternoon there. I faith that I will find him!
I have called shelters, vets, the police in all surrounding towns.....they all have my info and I tend to call them once a day so maybe I may hear something!
Thank you all for your concern and prayers; I hope to one day give the news that he is home safe

Holy cow! I'm really glad you got him back but what an ordeal!!
Please tell me you're making an appt to get your dog microchipped. There are CRAZIES out there who will do these things, as you see now, and that chip can prevent that from happening in the future.
This is one of my biggest fears (besides my dogs getting hurt of course) that someone would just keep them. It happened to me as a kid, someone found my childhood dog, knew he was ours, and kept him anyway. It probably happens a lot more than we think!
Congratulations! I'm glad he's home where he belongs.

I am!!!! This very weekend!!!!!!! That lady just called me to make sure there was no way I could trace him.....she must have been shocked when she saw the cops! Like I told the cops....everyone has been so friendly since I moved to Lynbrook, someone who claimed to have "found/lost" him would have given me her address so that I could post from the corner of her house!
Just wanted to say thank you to all ladies again!!!!! I am beyond happy that I was able to locate her address!
