UPDATE!!! Digestive Issues - Moderate Abdominal Cramping

I went to the DR last night and he checked me out and the issues were all gastrointential related. He told me to take Colace twice a day. With the first dose last night, I feel COMPLETELY better! If anyone else goes thru this, don't worry and ask your DR!!! Huge relief and I feel sooo much better!!!

Hi Everyone.

I used to go to bathroom at least once a day and since becoming pregnant, this has decreased which is normal from what I understand as progesterone can cause digestion to slow. I am also taking a progesterone supplement every night before bed.

LAst night I was eating dinner and I could feel my system cramping up. About two hours after dinner, I had a small BM but the cramping was pretty intense. I have no bleeding what so ever, as I was afraid of miscarriage.

Does anyone else experience intense cramping like this? I'm 9 weeks. I have it again this morning, but not nearly as intense as last night. I really think I need to go to the bathroom but can't!

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Of course, I worry about everything, so as much as I really do believe this is GI related, my mind is wandering....

I have a DR appt tonight for my next SONO anyway, so I will speak with him then too about it....
TIA!

It's gas build up. Ask your ob what you can take. I had it and thought I was going into labor.

Last night it was so intense, I actually almost went to the ER. It subsided a lot overnight and today it is fairly mild. thank you for your response. I will speak with him later. What did you take, just curious. THANK YOU

Yup, I had it probably starting around 8/9 weeks and it's slowly abating recently, now that my appetite is back and I'm eating more regularly and more well rounded meals.

Not going to lie, and sorry for the TMI, but I just had a GREAT BM and I was so crampy and backed up and in pain for the last hour or so. I feel incredible now, like I lost 10 pounds.

I'm 15w3d and I think the only reason why over the last week it's gotten better/more regular is because I'm FINALLY eating more.

Re: Digestive Issues - Moderate Abdominal Cramping

I would call your OB just in case but it sounds like gas! Go for a long walk and hydrate!

Oh, also make sure you are drinking plenty of water! Staying hydrated definitely helps with these issues.

Good! I'm sure that the anxiety over not knowing what it was was making it worse too.

UPDATE!!! Digestive Issues - Moderate Abdominal Cramping

Try bobs redmill ground flax seed it's like $5 for a huge bag. Perfectly safe. You will never have those issues again! :) you can put it on anything you eat and you don't taste anything! I have used clave in the past and I definitely agree it is wonderful!
