UPDATE on my little man - Not so good! VERY LONG -UPDATE 9/13/08
We went back to the Ped this morning for all the test results.
At first, he told me that
Urine was fine
Lead is fine
But some of WBC were low.
Then he told me to throw my thermometer and stop worrying. DS looks healthy, nothing else changed. He is a happy little boy.
Then he realized some of the blood work was not back yet.
So we waited in the waiting room for a while.
Then a lady from the office told me to come in the Dr. office so the ped could talk to me. We NEVER go to his office to "talk". My heart sank. I felt tears coming before I even talked to him. But I remembered to be strong.
So he got the other results and it does show that DS has a bacteria in his blood. We don't know what it is. He is trying to contact an Infectious Desease Specialist. We are waiting for them to contact the ped back and probably see them this afternoon or Monday.
The ped think it's still possible it's a false positive (or false negative... can't remember anymore at this time... I am brain dead!!!). In another word, the contaminant could have been outside his arm and they did not clean it right away. The ped is contacting the lab for a more detailled explaination. That will take 1-2 days.
So most likely we have to do more blood work.
Now we are waiting to hear from the Ped after he talks to the infectious desease dr. Everything is on hold until we hear from him and the lab.

UPDATE
The ped just called me and talked to the ID Dr. Because it's only a low grade fever, we are just going to wait on the blood culture of the lab first and I have to call back the ped's office tomorrow morning after they talk to the lab. I will see the ID dr next Tuesday.
But we have to monitor DS very closely until then. If at anytime he gets a fever of 102 and above we have to call the ped back and go to the ER immediately.
Sounds like a stressful weekend, praying his fever does not pick. 
I want to thank you everyone for their  and FMs. It means a lot to us.
I just want my little boy to be OK.

UPDATE 9/13/08
The ped called. It appears that it is a contaminant from the blood culture. The contaminant is usually found on the skin so that would mean they did not clean his arm properly.
Because we are seeing the ID dr on Tuesday and we will redo bloodwork then and we don't need to see the Ped before that. The bloodwork will hopefully confirm it's just a contaminant and why he is getting those fevers too. I still have to monitor DS for any high fever, personality change and anything abnormal until then.
So it is still just a contaminant.

Sophie, , stay strong, I will say a TON of 's that they did not clean his arm well or the handler made and error as well! If you need anything, I mean anything please let me know

They may try to draw blood cultures next......which is a more sterile form of drawing the blood to make sure that the bacteria is not cross contamination.
That it was just a blood draw error!!

My nephew had gotten results about bacteria in his blood when he was a couple of weeks old.. turns out the place somehow after it was drawn it got contaminated, so it was a false positive. This might have happened to your son too.
