Update on Nicholas' Biopsy
Nicholas showed me the pads of his fingers yesterday.
All of his finger tips look like there was a blister, now they are all peeling.
He told me it started on Easter. 
We haven't changed soaps, detergents, etc.
He didn't play outside or eat anything different.
FHe said it doesn't hurt or itch at all...just peeling.
I googled it and it said it was a case of "unimportant eczema".
He has NEVER had this ever before in his 8 years o' life.
Has anyone ever experienced this themselves (or with your child)?

UPDATE:
I'll update even though no one responded to my first post.  But I assume it's because no one has had experience with this.
I'm posting in case any of you ever experience this with your own child.
I made an appointment with the dermatologist for 5:45 tonight.
Nick came home from school with EVERY one of his fingers peeling...badly.
I googled...which I NEVER should have done.
Peeling fingers is one of the symptoms for Kawasaki disease.  
He does NOT have any other symptom though...so I will not freak out.
I just want this checked and treated because he goes to school...he has "open wounds" on each of his fingertips. God only KNOWS what he could pick up.
Please keep Nick in your thoughts tonight. I will update as soon as I have some answers.

2nd Update:
We went to the dermatologist. The fingers are just REALLY dry skin that I have to treat with Aquaphor.
But, I also had her take a look at a (what I thought was a birthmark) behind his ear. She said she recommended we biopsy it...and we did.
Now I sit and pray for 10 days and wait for the results. I am a mess. Please say a prayer for my son, Nicholas. xoxoxo

UPDATE (4/9)
Found out why Nick's fingers were peeling...turns out he has STREP!
He woke up with a sore throat today and I brought him to the ped. Doc said strep can start as peeling skin on the fingers and toes. *****?
So...PSA...if you notice your child's fingers or toes peeling, could be a virus (strep) they are fighting!
So, now we deal with strep (which JUST came on...he actually feels great, but he's on antibiotics)...and we wait for the biopsy results. Keep those prayers coming. xoxoxo

UPDATE 4/20:
We heard the preliminary findings from the dermatologist. The doc found what she believes might be a spitz nevus (irregular childhood mole), which would be the best case scenario. She decided to send it out to a specialist to verify. We are not completely out of the woods yet. In fact, I'm more fightened than ever becaue she mentioned possible surgery.
Doc said it may be a cause for concern in the future and might require surgery now. All this guessing is making me CRAZY! I am supposed to have definite answers this week. I am a mess. Thanks for your continued prayers. xoxoxo.
I will update again when I get more answers.

He was told it was a form of Psorisis (sp?), his dad had it and his sister has it

my stepson had something like this except it was his palms that were peeling. It was some kind bacterial infection he was put on some medication and special cream and it cleared up.
Hopefully you find out whats wrong tonight!

I had this 2 winters in a row. Just on the pointer and middle finger of my right hand. I was told it was eczema, and I was given a cream to put on at night, along with gloves.
It's VERY frustrating...I remember playing drums with my nephew and hitting my hand on the table only to have the skin on my pointer split open and I was bleeding everywhere
Hope the derm. can help him. I will say that I had it last winter, but not this winter...although I'm wondering now if that's due to pregnancy that I didn't get it this time...

I just saw this post but I wanted to respond because DD had Kawasaki disease. The peeling of fingers is one of the final stages of Kawasaki disease. I'm sure that's not what your DC has because the symptoms that are associated with Kawasaki disease are serious. Rash high fever strawberry tounge etc so I wouldn't worry about Kawasaki if I were you. Hope you find an answer soon.

oh my! first off, I am the queen of googling too (I know, really scientific! ) - and contantly scare the be-jeezus out of myself! I read your updates (sorry I never saw the other posts!) and am hoping for the best, I am sure they are doing the "be safe rather than sorry" thing and didn't meann to alarm you! I am thinking of you guys!!!
