I've suffered with mild psoriasis since im 4 yr old. it first started with the skin on my feet peeling. My mom said i was 4 and going for UV treatments on my feet thats how bad it was. She had to cut off all the feets out of my feetie pajamas b/c of the materials..it would irritate me terribly.
Then when i was in 2nd grade, the skin on the palms of my hands started peeling and would cut and bleed. Same thing.
as an adult, i get it very mildly in some areas of my skin & scalp and the sides of my fingers near the cuticle area start to peel.
Im sure the biopsy will come back fine!!

Many prayers for the biopsy that it comes back negative. Thank God his fingers are just dry skin!! Hang in there mama!

Thanks so much, everyone!
I was up crying half the night. I am so scared about this biopsy!!
I brought him in for his peeling fingers, which thank goodness, turned out to be nothing.
The "birthmark" on his ear was a little side thing. Like a "since we're here" kinda thing.
She took one look at it and "didn't like the way it looked".
She aspirated it with a needle and partially removed it with a scalpel. Poor Nick...he was so scared. 
So now I sit and wait and worry for 10 days while they test it.
I am so nervous because:
* he's had it for years
* it has grown (as he's grown)
* it's on the top part of his ear that always gets a lot of sun.
My son has ears that stick out. When he was a baby, he always wore sun hats. Obviously he can't wear those forever, so he just wore sunblock. But it's in SUCH a hard spot to always keep protected.
Please just keep Nick in your thoughts...I would really appreciate it.

Glad that there is an easy fixable answer to the finger tips.
that the results of the biopsy show nothing of concern. Good for you for asking the doctor to take a look.

I'm gad the peeling fingers were nothing, the Internet can be so helpful but freak you out too. I agree, it's just a bizarre thing to happen out of nowhere. Maybe after being off all week and now back at school, shuffling papers and books started the peeling.
I am praying for your DS with the biopsy. I had to have one done on my DD's foot last year and it's very stressful to say the very least. Please update ASAP.
