VBAC or schedule c-section if getting tubes tied?
I had ds1 naturally and ds2 c-section bc of his size.
Doc says I have the option of going natural again or scheduling the c-section. She said it is easier to do the tubiligation while I'm already open so scheduling the c-section would be better. But it's my choice.
I didn't have a hard recovery after my csection so that isn't my concern. Truthfully, I liked the extra time in the hospital to bond with the baby while recovering.
On the flip side I know there is more risk to the csection.
Wwyd?

Re: VBAC or schedule c-section if getting tubes tied?
I'm all for trying to vbac (I had one with my DD), and when I have #3 in March, I was hoping of have a v-birth again.
however, that said, if I was getting my tubes tied, I most certainly would opt for the repeat c/s. No sense in having to do another procedure to take care of it after that fact!

yeah, I guess that is the thing that is making me lean towards c-section again. Why go through another procedure?
Does anyone know how a plain tubiligation works? Do they have to make an incision like they do with the c-section or is it just laproscopic with a small cut?

You could always try for VBAC and if it's successful, have the Essure procedure later - I believe it's surgery free.
