Vitamin D Deficiency
Anyone have an issue with this and have success once they took supplements to raise their levels. Went to my regular doctor for a physical and my blood work showed my level was 17 when it should be over 30. Now I am upset because I don't think it was ever check by my RE and I am wondering if it had something to do with my miscarriages.

Re: Vitamin D Deficiency
I have been vitamin D deficient for a while. I was told it did not have anything to do with both of my MC's. My first RE was not so alarmed about it but my current RE was VERY insistent that I get the level up and keep it up with supplements and have rechecks often. He said it is extremely important for fertility and pregnancy.

Vitamin D Deficiency
Yes. Start taking a supplement and within a few weeks it should rose. A good re would definitely check this. Request it to be checked if you do go back to a Re

Vitamin D Deficiency
My NEW doc says that Vit D can increase a positive IVF outcome by 50%. 50%! Take it and do not spend money on any procedure until its over 30.
My old doc didn't care about it at all. If the above is true, which many studies show it is, I consider it negligence taking people's money and hope and not making sure patients have a strong Vit D first.

Vitamin D Deficiency
My Vitamin D was low at 16 it took a good year with constant supplements for it to be at 53 now. It is a good idea that it is over 30 before starting especially if you were to get pregnant for the health of the baby.

Re: Vitamin D Deficiency
Most people are actually vitamin D deficient. It's very common - and very easy to fix. Start taking supplements, get out in the sun, and increase vitamin d-rich foods (milk, fatty fish, etc).

Re: Vitamin D Deficiency
My levels were low and I was on supplements right up until IVF cycle. My RE didn't check it though, this was through a holistic dr. good luck!
