No. I think as long as one of us is in attendance it's fine.
DH's uncle passed away a couple of years ago. And there were 3 sessions. DH had an obligation he could not get out of so I went to all 3 sessions and he went to 2, we both went to the funeral. And he was feeling guilty about it but even his cousin (his uncle's son) told him not to worry about it.
As far as paying respects if your DH is comfortable with not being there that's all that should really matter.

I voted depends. I would of liked him there all day with me but if he coudnt be there all day due to work then the night one would be okay.
