YES! Your MOM will *always* pick your sorry butts up... when no one else will, at 4am, when you are all the way in Queen's --- you can call your Mom. She'll probably be miffed but at the end of the day she'll say she was just happy you did the right thing and didn't drive! I always tell young people this.

it is just that the punishments are not severe enough. in most cases, not all, but in most cases people just think - well, the worst that can happen is i'll spend a night in the drunk tank, pay a fine, be on my way. and in most cases, again - not all, but in most cases what happens is exactly that. so, what do they have to lose? and they chance it.

you left out losing there Lic for a few months - and possibily being dropped from your insurace (most likely)
and if they are under 21- 1 year
I wouldn't want to lose my Lic for a few months- and I live in Queens- with buses that stop in front of my house
besides that fact that I might hurt some one or myself- that is enough reason for me

YA but unfortantlly beth Some people (especially kids) don't think like that. AND most of the time these charges are reduced to something else.
