Waving.. When?
When did your DC learn to wave?
Mine just won't do it. We pick up his arm and make him wave whenever he leaves and he just ignores us and has no interest in it.
Any tips?

Re: Waving.. When?
I think ours was around 13 months! But I've everything from 9months to 16months or later!!!! Don't worry, just keep saying "Hi" and "Bye" and waving at him/other people. I didn't move his arms in a waving motion that much, he just watched us intensely when we do it, so you could tell he was putting the word together with the action!

Re: Waving.. When?
Practice..repeating things.
Skybear learned clapping around 8 months but she had no interest in clapping her hands till 9. For a whole month, she always wanted to clap our hands.
Now we are waving has she alot more control of her hand. She has part of it down but won't do it on command.

Re: Waving.. When?
I think he just started waving like a month ago and he's 18 months. He also just really started clapping in the last couple of months too.
But he was high fiving at 12 months - go figure.

Waving happened 3 days before he turned 10 months, clapping was around 9 months.

Re: Waving.. When?
Alexa doesn't clap or wave.... probably because I don't do it... or teach it to her
But she can DEFINITELY shake her booty to Beyonce and Shakira..... She's been doing that since about 6 months old

Re: Waving.. When?
DD has been waving since 8 months. However, she has no interest in clapping.
Don't worry, every child is different

Re: Waving.. When?
DD has been clapping since about 8 months. We started to teach her to wave about a month ago or so (around 9 months). Now, if you ask her to "wave" she does it She's also starting to wave at people when they walk in the room! (She'll be ten months next week).
We just kept practicing it with her - CLAP HANDS (we'd show her how and she'd copy us) and the same with WAVE! We're working on HIGH FIVE now!
