Weight Watchers PP Vent!
ok, i've been on the plan for almost three weeks (thurs) and am only down 4lbs. I'm supposed to weigh in on thurs, but got on the scale today and it said down .5! that's crazy. I thought it would be at least 1-1.5. I work out (3-4x aweek) and stay in my points every day. On the old plan I lost a lot faster. I dont get it
I'm doing it online and track everything.

Re: Weight Watchers PP Vent!
Are you pms'ing? Sometimes right before i get AF i will not lose, or have a small loss from water retention..
other than that...i'm not sure. I've only been on the new plan one week. So far so good, but we'll see..
I've been cutting back on carbs a bit b/c of the points value and i don't overdo it with the fruit. I know they are zero points, but i try to watch the fruit that is higher calories like bananas.
You have another full day before your weigh in, hopefully you'll see a better loss on thurs! Don't give up!

Re: Weight Watchers PP Vent!
Studies show that a weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week is ideal for taking it off, and more importantly, keeping it off. And at a 4 lb loss over 3 weeks, you're right on target for that.
I wouldn't get frustrated - a loss is a loss. You may have had something high in sodium in the day before you got on the scale. You might be PMS'ing. Your muscles might be retaining water because you've stepped up your workouts.
A loss is a loss, so you're still doing something right! Don't let the frustration get to you...if it was easy, none of us would have to join WW!

Re: Weight Watchers PP Vent!
I'm sorry to do this, but THIS is my biggest pet peeve. You're ONLY down 4 pounds????? Why ONLY? What if you ONLY GAINED four pounds? Would you put the same emphasis on it or would that four pounds suddenly seem so much bigger because it was a gain?
Did you know that that pound is the equivalent of 4 STICKS OF BUTTER???? So your four pounds is the equivalent of 16 sticks of butter!!!!!! Or that if you ONLY lost a pound every week for a year that's 52 pounds??????
One pound a week is actually WW recommended rate of loss. One pound a week is PERFECT.
Sorry for my rant, it's my one rule in my meetings. My members are not allowed to use the terms ONLY and LOST in the same sentence.
Oh, and for the record, I'm saying this in a supportive WW leader way, not saying it to be mean

Re: Weight Watchers PP Vent!
Ok now that my rant is over, lol.............
Check a few things:
Are you positive you're counting points plus values correctly? You're not combining features of PP with features of Momentum right?
Are you weighing and measuring your foods?
Are you getting in your good health guidelines?
Are you eating all of your daily PP target each day?
Are you using your weekly PP allowance?
Are you using your activity PP values?
Are you counting your activity PP values accurately?
My final solution if you're really not satisfied would be to bring your tracker to your leader and have her take a look at it.

Re: Weight Watchers PP Vent!
You're DOWN .5!! That's no reason to vent at all!! It takes time to lose weight- if you lost 4lbs every week it wouldn't be healthy and would be hard for you to maintain.
I lost 60lbs 3 years ago. My average weight loss each week was 1-2lbs. I'd have MANY weeks where I lost .2 or .4. It's still a loss.

Re: Weight Watchers PP Vent!
I'm at the exact same place, 3 weeks in, down 4 lbs, and my weight fluctuates throughout the week (I know I shouldn't but I step on the scale more than just weigh-in day). Last weigh-in day I actually hadn't lost, but since then I've been so good that I decided to step on this morning and at halfway through my week I'm down .5
Slow and steady is the healthy way to do it! 4 lbs is still 4 lbs! I think you're doing great!
